marilyn manson is the most intellegant and clever lyricist
i've ever seen in a rock band.

You wanna suck his dick??

No I'm kidding, just like Billy Corgan who has left a mark
on those hard core Pumpkin fans... I like Smashing Pumpkins
but what Billy Corgan says is a bunch of bullshit

I like Manson as a person but his lyrics are fucking
insane..or insanely great.

I saw him on IFC on that show "Dinner with Five" and of
course he got into some God-satan talk, which doesn't really
do it for me other then he's a great performer

manson and corgan are practically telling the same story,
cept manson's is based more on the crashing of our society,
while machina was less-based on the world ending, but more
on his love for this woman... ever notice that holy wood
has the same symbol thats on machina cover on one of its
inside sleeves?

i used to like his music and image-but now... i dont
know...
"antichrist superstar" is mansons most interesting release
sa far in my opinion- he is a bit commercial artist nowadays
but fok it- being commercial is not kind of illness-> more
money=better music/production (sometimes)

there was a young girl who commited suicide last year in
Glasgow who was a big fan. while he was touring, he took
time out to visit the girls family and shit. i have respect
for him for that. i've never taken time to listen to his
music, so i'm not gonna judge it. i get the feeling that his
early stuff must be pretty good tho.

I'm looking forward to the new album. If it's anything like
the stuff off of the resident evil soundtrack it will be
awesome. Anyone know a release date?

Ill have to say even though I don't really like Marilyn
Manson the best thing he's ever done are the 4 tracks for
the Resident Evil soundtrack...very short tracks and I
suggest to everyone that you download them even if you hate
all of Marilyn Manson's music, these are completely
different from anything he's ever done.

They sound more like old NIN but with no words. Best thing
he's ever made...

hmm, I liked early manson. Anit-christ superstar was a
masterpiece...i think b/c of both Trent and Brian workin
together.

I haven't listened to much of his stuff after that. i
bought mechanical animals, but it just wasn't my bag baby.
So i sold it for 10 bucks.

i really think MM is sorta like our gens. David bowie, which
is cool b/c you never know what to expect from him next.
i'll shut up now :)

Sorry to drag up an old thread but the subject of Marilyn
Manson interests me.

His new image and persona is intruiging, a Dadaist
Industrial influence that has been helped along by the
removal of Twiggy from the band and the inclusion of Tim
Skold of KMFDM.

I'm looking forward to the new album "The Golden Age of
Grotesque" and I'm pretty sure it will open a few people's
eyes to a far more musically orientated side of the band
Marilyn Manson.

Manson's artwork is quite beautiful and he has more than
proven his creative talent to the majority of neighsayers
that had little faith in his ability.

Rock on Manson.

his musical imagery is so contrived tho.. i'm glad he finds
different movements interesting, but i think he's degrading
them by associating them with his mediocre hard rock music
and silly dramaticism.

i do love his paintings though. he really IS better at
painting than making music.

i'm looking forward to his new album cos he describes it as
ludacris meets ministry, which sounds fascinating.

i have to agree.......his paintings are something
else.....i'd like to see them in person in LA =0)

his music is OK....i don't own a CD, but if i did it would
be Anti Christ Superstar....trent reznors work on that with
manson produced some good stuff!

Haven't read any responses in this thread..

I dug him a lot back when I was obsessed with NIN. He really
ought to let Reznor produce his records again.

trent wanted to produce mechanical animals, and i bet he
could've made a good record out of that.

however, trent has too many better things to do than produce
this has-been. i'm glad he's no longer helping manson.
