Well humans have messed up and ruined the planet 🌎 🌍.
It goes in cycles also but….humans are the virus.
Taking to much wanting to much destroying to much. Mother
Earth is pissed. She’s had enough. She will take what she
wants when she wants it!! It’s sad that innocent good
people have to live and pay for what to many have done. But
in the end; it all equals out and SHE wins.

its gonna look like mars one day,
if we live long enough to use all our water for fuel,
leave or die, lucky robots will be the only inhabitants left
until finally they´re out of grease
and buried under tons of rusty sand

i put lots of big "ban this shit" stickers of those horrible
pictures into the city. millions of sea animals die of it
each year. the overuse of plastic & plastic waste export in
germany is horrific. we had a package free/zero waste store
and cafe, but it closed, wasnt saved by pandemic funds
because it wasnt open for more than 2 years before the rona.
..and of course people dont give a shit. i hate it when i
see people (litterally) use a plastic bag for every fucking
item. :/
we also now have a law saying you must offer reusable
tableware to reduce "to go" waste, which not only causes
suffering at sea, massive landfills or dioxine poising if
not burned with an expensive filter system.
it also costs a town millions a year to clean up!
BUT guess who is excluded from this law? practically every
chippy or place you can buy food or coffee, because of their
small size in employees etc.. arrrgh!

i shall rewatch, i hear its good ona big screen too.
when i think of pollution and borders, none paints a better
picture than battle angel alita. Zalem the city in the sky
for the rich, while the rest lives in and from the garbage
Zalem drop. i kind of like the movie they did. its decent
for a manga to real film.

i usually reuse plastic bags that we have stored in the
house
sometimes i buy a bag if i have loads of stuff
i should carry around a reusable plastic bag with me in my
pocket
we can all do more :-)

i guess one day there will be some sort of a.i. controlled
nano technology that eats up the plastic in the sea

Bags are just a small thing ive learned to avoid. Feels
almost insignificant in the mass of package waste and
sanitary/medical waste. Finding better ways of Recycling is
just as in important as avoiding.
i also like the idea of bacteria eating up all the mess we
make.
But then who stops them from eating up the plastic still in
use?
Still a thousand years away from proper nano..

'humans are the virus' is a fascist talking point

lots of people didn't choose for vulture capitalism. and
it's mostly the powerless that suffer from it

Elysium is cool and if you like it you should read Naomi
Klein's Shock Doctrine or No Is Not Enough (i only read that
last one): in it she explain the concept of red zones and
green zones, which Elysium shows. it means: humanity won't
go extinct, disparity of wealth (or: just being able to
live) will get unimaginably worse. unimaginably or as shown
in fiction like Elysium

"'humans are the virus' is a fascist talking point"
really depends who says it in which context

when i saw it painted all across the building site of a new
8 storey high parking lot, i found it rather fitting :)

i see what you mean though and i concur.

He also compared us to cancer and him being the cure arguing
we wouldnt stop multiplying until we consumed everything.
Then in part 3 hes all "me, me, me" 😂

A small part of humans that are fascists ruined a big part
of the earth for now.

Love the rollercoaster ride but especially the anythings
possible vibe at the end of it. Movies that roll on in your
mind after the credits. Highly motivational.
Right now things look shittier day by day, but I still
believe we can make good things happen and avoid big parts
of mass extinction, climate collapse and ww3. Its just more
fun not to ruin it all.

capitalism, patriarchy, white supremacy (to name a few) are
all inherently violent and oppressive, yes. anyone
participating in those systems is guilty, and so, for
instance, the rich are more guilty. you can not *not* be
guilty of it, all you can do is help bring down those
systems

The best to worst Wachowskis list is something like
Matrix
Animatrix
Sense 8
Speed racer
Cloud Atlas
The Matrix Resurrections
Matrix 2
Matrix 3

there's more but i haven't seen it all and Jupiter
Ascending i don't really want to rate. V for Vendetta is
probably cringe, too, but i don't really remember. (also i'm
just one episode into sense 8, season 2, but season 1 was
pretty perfect.)
