if i had to give trump credit for one thing, it's
recognizing a good phrase to put on blast. sometimes. many
duds; the occasionally he knocks it out of the park. then he
just keeps trying over and over until he gets one.

release the kraken

donald trump screaming this immediately got my ear, back
around jan 6, 2020. has a real lloigor edge to it. was trump
trying to immanentize the eschaton?

nah. no lovecraftian overtones; no conspiracy. no r. a.
wilson salad. someone who actually read books quipped,
"release the kraken" and trump plucked it out of all the
other sewage going by him. now he just plays golf. what a
waste

but it's also typical trump -- the kraken is reaching for...
cthulhu, whatever.. a swarm of tentacles... and eldritch
horror from the depths....

...and that's where it goes wrong, i've just realized:
krakens are fucking idiots. they have no sense of strategy;
just surge up from the ocean and tentacles all over your
boat... why?

some fighting... then, umm, now what? are you going to eat a
boat, kraken? that a boat is neither edible, nor a threat to
a kraken.

jan. 6 2020 ~ having barnstormed the capitol, the kraken was
genuinely not sure what to do next. dog catches car

kraken reads book
