I think gearslutz was a bit of a crap name but they
obviously changed it for current politics, its just such an
irrelevance why anyone would even care what its called, gear
space seems a bit unimaginative as well

they have a distinctive moldy smell.. inot smelt anything
quite like it.. i have an unmoldy one somewhere, well it may
be moldy by now
its so weird about gearslutz, like how many ppl who go on
there even care what it's called...
I think that Osborne 'Ruby' tune is pitched up on the
recording,the vocals go a bit chipmunk...bangin backwoods
banjo tis the future
have u seen the Delia docuthing?

Musty smells

Yeah the gearslutz thing might be a bit understandable cos
it reminds me of the height of lad culture and sounds much
more naff than offensive

muffwiggler i think is tongue in cheek and a perfectly good
name.

I can imagine Richard James walking around on his knees in
his 90s through tunnels of DAT tapes finally accidently
crushed by a dislodged Roland System 700 that was
precariously balanced about while he trying to make his way
to his commode, I think that's how he would wanna go

know what you mean about having... i don't wanna say
visions, ... funny mental interludes.. of spontaneously
imagining one's own death in various ... heath robinson
ways.. not heath robinson, the other one
That Delia thing was SO FUCKING IRRITATING, i cant be
bothered to go into it.
just wanted to listen to her talk and look at her
diagrams... lot of nonsense fuckin BBC didn't appreciate the
Radiophonic WOrkshop when it was there and they have no
fucking idea about why it was so good now ... could have
listened to the actual ppl involved eg. Zinovieff talk for
an hour and a half instead of that...

not heard that one, wouldn't suprise me
i take back what i said a bit... obviously a talking heads
program wasn't the intent of it, and mbe the making of it
was affected by Covid lockdown
there is NO biography of Delia yet? i wish id read enough
biogs to have a fantasy author 4 that.

2003... Me and a couple of friends started a student IDM
society (basically)... we ran a weekly open decks night in a
small pub. Really an excuse to do some DJing and share new
records each week.

One winter's evening a guy turns up and asks if he can spin
some records. He puts on some fresh acidy tracks. One of us
asks what it is. He shows us the sleeve and it's the new
Mike Dred album. "But how did you get that? It's not out
yet?" "...Because I am Mike Dred"

And it was him! He had gone back to university to get a
degree in sound engineering.

end of heartwarming tale
