i wonder if it will come back, do they have like town council meetings under the floor, and pass along primitive messages with their antenna , "no food found in sector A" for example, he is probably walking around in that Brownian motion way that simple animals do, thinking i must come back in that large space and cheek for dandruff when that giant homunculus isnt looking down at me

Oh yeah i always take care not to tread on them or anything, if i see him again, i'll pop him in an upturned glass, and stick him outside, i think he came through a gap under the window, we had new windows put in a while ago and they didnt do a good job of fixing the masonry for them, so its probably a bit of a woodlouse highway, when i go to sleep they all come in and have a bit of a party probably, cos its nice an warm

^ yes, they are really beautiful when you see them u close, well some of them, iridescent carapaces, really interesting complex behavior, emerging from relatively simplistic rules the follow,
woodlouse mind "yeah thats right, turn right once, taste for wood, if i cant taste wood, move forward 5 body lengths, then turn right again until i meet an edge, then turn 90 degrees left, if detect a shadow curl into small ball"

i dont know for sure but i guess thats how most brains of insects function, simple input and output signals, i doubt they mull about weather they should go out on a windy day too much cos they dont like the look of an overcast sky, would be interesting if they did though1

you could probably find the samples of the speak spell around on the net and have a play around with the control rates and stuff on supercollider to get an approximate sound, i reckon it wouldnt be too hard to do

and then play the sound back out through the speaker on the speak n spell just for the fun plastic case, naf speaker effect.
