square pusher is the modern electronic equivalent of buddy
rich.
yet better in many ways...because he can create/fine tune a
beat/solo over a long period of time , hit play on his
sequencer on stage and tweak it live.

mr pusher creates jaw dropping ,stunning rhythms and sounds
that any drummer in the world would wish to be able to play
live given a new hybrid organic/synthetic brain with muscles
donated from mystical alien insects, But that wont happen so
we will just have to drown in our droool.

the fact that squarepusher needs computers to sound like
buddy rich disproves your statement.

[] pusher is more modern and uses electronics ,he is
shockingly brilliant at placing percussion
sounds....actually he doesn't really sound to much like
buddy style wise

buddy had jaws dropping in the 50's 60's 70's even 80's (
even today ..and probably always will)

[]pusher is doing the same with percussion sounds like
buddy
did back then, shocking people with complexity and feel.

whether he can continue to shock and entertain for a few
more decades who knows? who knows ..im just glad he did what
he did,

i find his programming amazing. how can you place those
feelings in words? not very easy.

oh well ...back to work...

squarepusher electronically emulates a modern buddy rich,
and is one badass bass player, but he has nothing on buddy
rich performance wise. Tom is a composer and Buddy is a
drummer.

Despite my reluctance to appreciate the difficulties of
modern life, Squarepusher has thusly and so explored modern
electronics, amongst a dozen or so peers, as to inspire one
American hopeless optimisim for a culture where machinery
might well be utilized for humane endeavors.
