I love listening to music while I am working on my
architecture projects... drawing my preliminary ideas ...
whilst listening to autechre

which is your magic moment for music?

you have a wonderfull job. i wish i could do it too,
for me in school it's impossible to listen to music, and at
lunchtime when i listen to aphex twin, i got sick in stomac.

But when i am driving in trains or cars for a long distance
i love listen to all styles of music.

On the toilet, squeezing some cheese.

Nah, on a very long train journey. You really get into it.
Or walking around in the summer with my walkman on.

I yearn for the perfect settings for music. The last time I
really, really got into some kind of ambience was in last
summer writing an essy. It was early summer, it was warm,
pissing down with rain, dark, late, I was on my own, I was
well into what i was writing and I had Plastikman playing
really loud. I put the speaker in the bathroom next to my
room to make it really echoey. It sounded great with the
rain.

Rare moments.

I bought a discman recently and its great. I was gonna get a
minidisc but then you have to tape all your cds. The only
drawback is that you can't make compilations yourself.

in response to rare moments, i can remember me and my little
cousin listening to 'surfs up' by the beach boys last summer
whilst we were repairing his treehouse in the garage. that
was smart-it was really really hot. thats a great memory.
although reading it back, it sounds a bit twee.

smallest things seem class. I wish it was summer all year
round.

yeah-i'm well looking forward to summer-i have great things
planned and great things to look forward to. i love autumn
and winter but after new year my attention is focused on the
summer months. some music i believe has a greater effect on
you as you are exposed to more light-which effects your
mood-personally, there is a type of contentment and
chillness that only the summer can offer. i cant put my
finer on it but i assume and hope it is universal-im pretty
sure it does. and it affects your take on any art not just
music.

I used to have a job where I was at risk of being replaced
by semi-trained monkey's because it was so easy and dull.
But when I threw in some good music I could work all day
with a smile on my face and be twice as productive as any
stupid monkey.

Best moments would be around early morning (5-6.30am), the
evening during the sunset and on days when it's been hot and
it's just starting to cool down in the evening :-)

I was working with this guy for about two weeks and we were
in a cupboard-sized room with a CD player. We played Aphex
and Autechre which was cool. Now I'm here we listen to Radio
2. Pah!

Jedy: no its the lovely Jennifer Love Hewitt

I remember laying in my bed once staring out the window at
night time listening to Chicane's Behind the Sun cd. There
was a faint amber glow coming in cause we had a street light
near by...so that was cool. That cd is remarkable.

The best is in a fast moving car, if you look at the paint
on the road and watch it as it speeds past, its very trippy
and hypnotic. Splendid.

Chicane cheesy? *bad Japanese kung-fu dubbed mouth* You
disrespect Chicane! Now you must die!!

Seriously though, give him a shot again. It's really good
stuff. I was totally into BtS when it came out and still
am.

Right now. I love coming home from classes at college,
having dinner and putting on some music. Kick back and enjoy
the fact that I'm a jobless spoiled brat and have no worries
outside of school.

I'm always ALWAYS listening to music while at my computer.
I also enjoy just walking around the city w/ some
headphones, or on the bus/subway is cool too. It's
particularly cool listening in the car late at night driving
out of the city on the freeways, with all the lights
streaking by.

I hate that. It's the weirdest feeling. You're laying
there listening to music and suddenly fall asleep only to
awaken to the last track. I did that once listening to
Speedy J's A Shocking Hobby. Fell asleep to track 9 or so
and woke up halfway through Manhasset. Trippy weird.
