New Age?

What do you think of the New Age music? I like it very much
somtimes but sometimes I think it is very easy and very
boring and very CRAP music. It is slow and it does not have
the strong beats of Squarepusher, Aphex Twin, Boards of
Canada etc

But some new age is ok (ie Mike Oldfield has nice melodies
and Yanni plays the piano nice) but some is so boring it's
not even funny (serious!)

What marks the difference between New Age and Ambient? You
can hear it straight away, but I don't know what it is.
Because I'm not a musician and I have little or no ability
to express my thoughts. Which puts me at a disadvantage on a
Music themed Message Board, I mean, it's not even funny!

New Age has hippie shit encumbering it.... 'native'
