And here they are: LCD Soundsystem - Sound of Silver Murcof - Cosmos Dälek - Abandoned Language All three are pretty great though nothing on the search yielded anything. I thought I'd see if anyone was interested. The LCD one is better than the first album by a stretch. Longer tracks.. It's probably the best party album of the year. Murcof is layer upon layer of sounds though at times fairly minimal as well, slightly glitchy......organs, drones, keys. Really nice stuff. A fair bit of variety on this. The Dälek release is what hip-hop should be about.... everyone remotely interested in this genre but bored of all the materialist and sexist rapper crap should explore this. |

Well *I* think they're pretty great at least. Perhaps everyone heard them and elected not to talk about them here because they are terrible or something? :) Either that or everyone is keeping them to themselves -mmm. |

that murcof is nice but getting a bit samey, couple of nice songs on those lcd soundsystem and dalek albums. |

Cosmos was a dissapointment to me. There's too much pathos in the first track and the rest are not good enough to make up for it. |

couldn't be bothered to listen through the murcof album.... there's also "Chrome Hoof - Pre-Emptive False Rapture" which totally rocks. |

Dalek seemed to have toned down the harsh distorted sound that made their previous albums stand out, but despite that, I really enjoyed Abandoned Language too. Lyrics are still solid. Haven't heard the other two, but I'll probably check them out one of these days. |
