I've heard a few clips and it sounds awesome. Anyone in
possession of this? Is it as good as it seems on the
surface?

He did an awesome bleep track in the 80's called "Voodo Ray"
- now a classic - and he was apparently one of the founding
members of 808 State. During the 90's he did rather mediocre
drum and bass. And now this, more back to the roots acid
bleep stuff....

This is indeed an awesome album. Standout tracks for me are
Downstroke and Merlot Brougham.

it's nice, however i do get a bit put of by it being mixed

fuller version of

So it's one long, continuous mix? That's a downer...

Yeah, I agree, mediocre was a bit harsh.

I like gerald and have seen him put on a good show
live......however i got this album as a promo a while back
and i have to say it kinda bores me, i was disappionted, yet
lots of other ppl seem to love it, so i guess you'll just
have to listen yourself and make up your mind.

Mediocre drum and bass? what was "Black Secret Technology"
then?

Probably my fave dnb album

I apologize!

Well, now I have heard Proto Acid a couple of times and I
must say I agree with kid, it's not as exciting as I thought
after listening to a few clips. It's a nice dj set for the
dance floor but it's not very different from a lot of very
similar stuff out there.

I actually think I should give BST a long overdue
re-listen...
