hey bearded boys!

i got to give a speech about electronic music/music
videos/synesthetic art to a class i'm in.... stupid limited
time frame, (maybe 30 minutes max...) will have be stripped
down into a mere overview... i still want to make it as
complete as possible... where does stuff come from, why
listen to machines at all, what's a sample and how do odd
loops make you more intelligent, impact on (pop-) culture
yaddayadda.... probably gonna start with Schönberg and
finish with teh Owtüchräh's Gantz Graf....

any nice links towards good articles n interviews n stuff,
i'd appreciate a lot ... thankskisskiss!

it's going to be pretty difficult to put almost a hundred
years into 30 minutes for sure. im sure you know what brian
eno said - if you're under a hundred there's a good chance
you only listened to electronic music all your life.

that quote already is great... gonna use it maybe....
well i have to start somewhere... then strip it down into
something that makes sense to a class which is 50% Indie
Rock girls. actually i think this time frame can be
busted...

the LAZY_PROF is quite into generative design... would
be interesting to have something to tell about if and how
the ae boys are using generative approaches, and if not, who
else does... no clue here..... i guess in Max/MSP stuff like
that is possible...?

youtube has some interesting documentaries on the history of
electronica. i don't know the link but that would be a good
place to look for a bit of info.
