i actually watched halloween ii last night but didn't want
to say anything since i figured dan is simply right
all the time. i was like, 'whoa, that wasn't actually mike
myers? how many canon spin-off novels should i have read
before watching it?'

man, that was a horrible movie, by the way. haven't seen iii
yet.

when a stranger calls. i think it was called.

the scariest character would definitelly be bob from twin
peaks though. god..he always comes in unexpectedly and gives
me a heart attack.

By an absolutely huge margin, "Threads". Not designed as a
horror film as such, but it is truly scary.

film called 'Earthlings'

if you can watch it all the way through without feeling sick
scary you aint of this earth baby..

makes any horror film look like a fluffy bunny kiddies
show.

Earthlings

That's El Topo isn't it? Plus your username tells me you
like Jodo's work.

1. The original Funny Games. (Why a remake?)
2. The Free Will (by Matthias Glasner, 2006)

cannibal
and
slaughtered vomit dolls
and
august undergound.

i could honestly think of probably hundreds more, but those
are good.

"The Signal": I have no idea how good this movie is, but a
couple people got stabbed while watching it. A darkened
movie theatre, California somewhere, suspect never found.
Henry: Portrait of a Serial Killer has a few scares, though
not the jump out of your seat kind. It's always jumping
dogs that do that.

i love slaughter and i love vomit and i love dolls, at least
in this movie

but honestly, it's not a movie as much as a guilty pleasure

"Mulholland Drive, that part where they leave the dinner
and
that disfigured woman in black comes out of the corner"

totally agree, i watched the movie for the first time a few
months back, watched it stoned with headphones on, i
actually jumped from my chair during that scene, my heart
was pounding i had to pause the movie and take a break, the
only film to get a reaction like that,

I thought it was a disfigured MAN until my third viewing,
when my opinion became less certain

to be honest i didnt know what it was, but the disfigured
woman idea seems relatively plausable, looked more monstrous
tho

Spoorloos (Being buried alive must be one of the scariest
things)

Serpent and the rainbow is a good film

Oh, Alqaeda beheading videos are scary as fuck too.

Don't you feel like it has subliminal messages throuout the
entire film? it's terrifying. I could never watch it in
full.

it has some quite terrifying techniques, like cut-up and
sound distortion and weird satanic innuendos and flashes,
yes... i managed to watch it to the end, but just barely.

i actually thought it was quite "refreshing" - if that's a
term I want to use here. For once, something truly
disgusting after all the insipid yawn-fest that is Hostel
and the like... But it's not for everybody.

Yeah, for some reason I have a hard time watching that
movie. By the time he's almost completely transformed I feel
like oh wow holy shit. And I hate compound fractures of arms
and legs.

exorcist still gives me the creeps.
when i was a kid, Creepshow scared the shit out of me. the
vignette called "the Crate" gave me nightmares for months.
also from Creepshow 2, "the raft" fucked my shit up because
my parents own lake property that looks identical to that.
It was difficult for me to go swimming there after that
movie. Of course now i realize they are comedies so...
funny what scares a naive kid.

well then you'll have to watch "cannibal", it's about a true
story. some gay man, seeks another gay man to eat online and
finds one, eats him, but first cuts off his penis and fries
it up and they eat it together, then he takes a tub, and
dies... then gets gutted in the end... but all perfectly
legal, because he signed a consent letter on film. true life
story, and extremely realistic looking surreal film. truely
terifying.
search it up on amazon.
