death of XLT?

offline bingob on 2007-10-23 09:58 [#02136781]
Points: 675 Status: Lurker

Hello. They say that XLT was better before. More vital and
stuff. And like it's dying/already dead now. But how do you
imagine the death of Xltronic.com/mb? Is it an old man
rotting cause of cancer? Is it a young woman beaten to death
all suddenly by a troll? Or is it a chubby guy from
Manchester jerking himself to death to analized midgetporn?

it's basically the exact same as it was 5 years ago really.

different faces & we're older is all.

it'll eventually disappear when phobes and tunamix get tired
of us making fun of tnt.

it's just a way to keep the site from being successful.
think about it. if the site really was successful, this
place would be flooded with people. and where there's lots
of people, there inherently must be lots of stupidity. ergo,
to keep xlt smart and elite we are forced to conclude that
it sucks (yes, like a she midget sucking a crack-pipe).

so it was drunk. i don't remember him posting in the
midget-thread, so i don't think he wants to. is there a way
we can force him? i mean, do you have anything on his mom or
something like that. i don't say we should blackmail him
into making the midgetwall...well, technically i do, but
that's not my intention

IDM is dying, so XLT is dying. The more sophisticated
electronic music gets the more irrelevant XLT becomes.

it always was crap
but it's better than WATMM or P-Mu etc
It was crap in like 92 with the hyperreal thing, can't even
remember what it was called
but that doesn't matter
you're just getting older
IDM is dead, always has been dead
Chicago house, Detroit Techno, LA electro, NY freestyle, UK
hardcore breakbeat, Belgian New Beat bla bla bla is still
alive, it just got buried
These days The Beatles, Rolling Stones etc have a lot to
answer for... in 15 years electronics will be back coz
people like you will start getting into positions of power

a respectable proportion of the threads currently on the
homepage are music related.

I'd be willing to be if you averaged that proportion on any
given day in 2007 and compared it with 2002, it'd be very
similar. And people in 2002 were probably still complaining
about how it had gone downhill since aphex zap.to.it died,
or whatever.

Yeah.... I was about to mention that most of those threads
were about music or some other reasonable topic. Shit,
there's even one about csound. I'd like to learn about
csound one of these days. Do you see any threads about
csound now? No.

Oh... and I happened to this shithole. Sorry.
