 | Rad is about a small-town B.M.X. practitioner, Cru, who has developed his skills whilst delivering newspapers with his
two other B.M.X.-enthused friends. The Mongoose factory
happens to be in their town, and its owner decides to create
a contest to attract professional ('Factory') riders for a
$100,000 purse; he is coerced at a Town Meeting to allow
local riders to compete in the qualifiers: if a local rider
makes it through qualification, he earns himself $10,000.

Young Cru is determined to qualify. However, his S.A.T. test
is on the same day and his mother strongly disapproves.
Using the old dead-dad-said-follow-your-gut strategy, Cru
totally fails to win his mother's approval. Whilst
fruitlessly attempting to forge her signature for the
qualifier application form, his younger sister strolls in
and forges it expertly first-time around.

The #1 rider comes into town with his entourage of
Vacuous Female Companionsâ„¢ dissing the town and
Cru. After dazzling a female rider outside of a discotheque
and then joining her inside for a cycle á deux
inside, Cru also earns the #1 rider's enmity.

Cru makes it through the three rounds of qualifiers and wins
 the girl's heart.

The Mongoose factory owner, for whom the #1 rider rides for,
doesn't like the threat that Cru poses... he has set up
promotional deals and these are dependant upon his rider
winning. He attempts to sabotage Cru by stipulating that all
riders must have sponsors... when Cru sets up the Rad Riding
Team, the nasty owner stipulates that the sponsor must have
 $50,000 of sales.

The town rally around Cru and he makes it into the final.

 He wins the race.

The #1 rider realises that he's been played by the Mongoose
factory owner and defects to Cru's new team.

 The End.
