 | Yes SValx is right, I reacted strongly if it were just this thread but what I was getting at was that your attitude to
women on the board was getting ridiculous:

'fresh meat' is the phrase that I particularly disliked in
this thread. It would be a joke if it wasn't next to threads
about Balls and Svalx' tits and faux-jokes like this that
sound like public school playground snipes-

"Well? Girls should listen to more Intelligent Dance Music
(IDM), and not Christina Aguilera and George Michael
 IMO"

Oh and this was kinda shit too [about Svalx]:

'Haha. I checked the link and I don't think that girl has
been here on xltronic. I recognise her from
 bigtitsatwork.com :)
It would be cool though LOL
I guess Svalx is a guy
Well I do not really care anyway

Also: Chantal stands up for women like no other in
electronic music and she really stuck her neck out to make
it about talent not gender so I think it's an incredible
example to use of someone who would put up with any kind of
 sexism.

 Also: I don't have a 'position'. I'm a person in my own
right with my own business and I believe it isn't enough to
be talented it's also important to be a kind person. And
that means being kind to women because they're your mother,
the mother of your kids and 3 dimensional people not just
'the bit around the vagina' as you put it.

And for the record, Delia Derbyshire's the greatest
electronic producer this country's ever produced so I'd
develop a sense of humility if you don't want to implode in
 your own hype...

 | well actually I've heard good things about you...
But I don't like you talking down women on here because I am
a woman and it makes me feel uncomfortable. And if you enjoy
that I think that is pretty screwy and kind of low-grade
 psychology

Fair enough- you can try and dismiss my role, based on my
age--that's 28 nearly btw- but it's quite difficult for you
to do that as I have won quite a lot of international awards
and bursaries and I'm pretty well recognised in my
field---that's youthwork and social entrepreneurship- so I
wouldn't try and assert the alpha silverback thing too much.
I've always overcome that with panaxhe.

Yes I am a blurter but I', aslo right- women are dope.

 | Maybe I should, but when I see stuff like that I don't really view it as sexism, I just see it as them taking the
piss, having a laugh or being cocks. It could just as easily
be a woman taking the piss out of my tits as a man, it's
just that there aren't many women here! Mr. Brazil for
example, asking me if my back hurt as a retaliation to me
telling her to stop talking about nothing but her sexual
 preference.

With bingob, pretty much as soon as I asked him to stop
being a prick and take me out of his avatar, he did, which
is a lot less than he could've done. I suppose it's just cos
I've been coming here for so long, I'm used to retarded
comments about how no women could possibly ever like IDM etc
from a few of the members, but I certainly don't see
appreciation of beautiful/sexy women as being sexist :)

 | I think all the women on that list would shudder to be mentioned in the "wow WOMEN CAN ACTUALLY MAKE ELECTRONIC
MUSIC WOW" catagory really. If you really want to make sure
people know about them, then don't lump them into some weird
"female" genre. It's patronising. There were plenty more
women in the radiophonic workshop then delia derbyshire, and
there are plenty more women who make electronic music who
 aren't in that list.

feminism and artists. By far the best thread that has ever
