FUCK OFF

We get no working mail system until wednesday, all because
some disgruntled employees occasionally get wet and attacked
by dogs. THIS IS SHIT.

the answer, Svalx, is that Royal Mail has lost a lot of
business recently and they are trying to re-organise the
company to stay afloat. however this means lots of
redundancies and some strange changes to working hours and
quite a lot of money disappearing out of pension funds. The
postmen think they need more pay and less jerking around,
but the royal mail say they need to do this stuff to
survive.

thank you Dan, I understand now. I know it seems like a pain
in the arse for everyone but I can't blame them, you know. I
think my dad might be made redundant again from his company.
It can really destroys people's lives. There's a load of
striking going on at his business too. I guess it's also cos
the post effects everyone so much that we hear about more of
their strikes.

Good response to rapidly dwindling use of royal mail BECAUSE
YOU CAN'T DO SOMETHING AS SIMPLE AS SORT MAIL PROPERLY.
Instead, people bring in outside companies to do it for you,
then you wonder why some people have to be laid off as
you're not making much money. I know, lets go on strike for
more pay and better conditions, that will make us more
appealing.

Bunch of useless tossers.

Royal Mail are shit. End of.

I might not get my Gescom until another week. Fucking
sucks.

I hope in a few years time they just go out of business.
Alright, couriers can be shite sometimes, but they're a
fuckload better than this load of nobjockeys.

We had post at quarter to seven IN THE FUCKING EVENING once,
after having it at half past five pm and three pm. It's a
bloody joke.

They also stick those cards through saying "You weren't in"
when you've just been in for the whole day. No car, ah can't
be arsed to knock. Royal Mail = bunch of retards.

As if they wanted to prove my point, the bag of spastics
have put 3 letters for next door (all for seperate people,
as next door is flats) through my letterbox.

I mean, fuck, I managed to sort mail and post it when I was
a pre-teen scout with fewer problems than this lot of
supposed professionals. The only couriers who can compete
with royal mail in terms of ineptitude are citylink. The
latter are so bad I won't order from an online store (even
if it's £20 cheaper) if they only use citylink as a
courier, as it's just not worth the ballache (they never put
the flyers through the door to say they called, never man
reception, can never find your item in the warehouse, are
generally discourteous and fucking stupid to boot). I hope
both companies go bust in the next few years and people are
forced to use the more adept ones.

for all those moaning about the royal mail, just remember
that it costs 32 pence to send a letter. why don't you see
how far that 32 pence gets your letter without the postal
service yeah? fucksake.

Oh no, I might have to send an email instead. Or, God forbid
the once or twice a year (at most) where a letter is
strictly necessary (so postal voting, or buying
land), I'll have to spend a couple of quid on a courier who
will actually do it properly.

Anyway what does 32 pence have to do with the fact the
cretin who delivers my letters puts next door's mail through
my door at least once every 2 weeks? How is that any cheaper
than him putting it through the right door? It's not, it's
just fuckwitted ineptitude and that's why I dislike them.

but it's what everyone thinks. there's barely anyone else in
the UK to actually go to for mail if you need to send it
quickly. I can't think of any DHL, UPS or any other offices
like that around my area.

i have to agree with the people who say Royal Mail sucks —
i try to avoid buying things in the UK now, because i've
already had a letter, a money order and at least one if not
two packages lost in the mail (from and to the UK)... i've
bought stuff from a lot of different countries over the
internet now, and the royal mail seems to be the only postal
service that's truly unreliable. (it's a pity because i
quite like the country.)

and it's not just me having bad luck, just look at
boomkat's notice about shipping packages to france...
