I believe it was jackeroffer (aka Ghostbusters III in Joyrex
land) who made the Untilted fakes Sean is referring to.

Aha! sorry, I missed your previous post. "Oh! what a tangled
web we weave When first we practice to deceive!" that's
Shakespeare not me. Glotch is a lying chancer without a
doubt.

Good luck with that chief.

No one actually confirmed that they were going to do the
entire thing in Reason 4. I was only commenting on the fact
that a little while back I said it was possible given
it's modular capabilities.

Plus, Propellerheads isnt even their label. They wouldnt
know when the record is coming out.

Ha ha no chance gl0tch's samples are real. That is some
kiddie shit compared to the technical ability of most of
autechre's recent output.

the new autechre recent output that your not sharring, or
able to share. I thought those two songs were good.

I don't know those are not real. I am just pretty
sure from the way they sound that they are not real. The
sound is far too sludgy, nowhere near precise enough, bad
reverb/decay on the notes, it sounds like someone trying to
make Ae type music using nothing other than Floops and
ReFX's Vanguard VST with some half-arsed automation of a few
of the parameters on it. If this is Autechre (which it
isn't) it would be extremely slapdash and done with very
little thought/care. I'm not really a huge ae, but I respect
what they do and in terms of a precise sculpted sound
everything I have heard by them has been completely unlike
these samples in terms of effort/skill put into it.

haven't listened, but remember how shit qual the untilted
leaks were?

i'll keep my head in the sand and wait for a proper
release.

...thoughts of listening to the untilted @ 128 leak for
months on end; memorizing ever little bit to come.

then...buying the proper release and hearing so much more in
the depth of a proper bitrate. It was like a whole new
album, laughs.

Initally, for a split second I wondered if that was the
case, then I clocked the 320Kbps mp3.

Still, I suppose it's possible that some scoper has gotten
hold of some 64kbs mp3s of it an re-encoded them as 320kbs
and that's why it sounds so murky and poorly digitised.

Hmm, but sometimes (IMO) they aim for the sloppy sound. Then
they usually bring it back up into really tight and
mechanical ticking shit. Think LP5. They might be doing that
again, and it just so happens the samples are only of that
kinda thing... I dunno.

I'm only repeating what's been shared with me. If I'm
wrong then someone must not like that person very much.
I'll leave it to them to figure out, just don't kill the
messager in the meantime. Sean, Rob, they're the same
person right? Ok, so *one* of them had a baby. That was at
least correct, yes?

Damio - You seem to carry yourself well. Care to enlighten
us with any more information?

goDel - what the hell am I "asking for?" It's Autechre, not
global politics. Whoopdy Doo if I decided to share
something that I was told was authentic.

You were asking for it in the sense that you came across as
a bit of an self-righteous ass. Here's an example:
It's funny... I can basically tell who is Euro / British
and
who is not, just by the replies made during my evening's
rest. Everything was so positive before you guys woke up.

Now, as for the Cenrrenx, I recall many people (myself
included) doubting the legitmacy of the samples that leaked

prior to Untilteduh's release. Then they turned out being
right. Take it for what it's worth. I for one, believe my
source.

No hard feelings or anything, just my pov. I still love you
and all.

HAHA, well that part was true!

Generally speaking, have a look at the original series of
posts. Then look at the (negative) posts that followed.
Cross reference them and the location of the poster... and
there you have it.

AND, as Nacmat just recently pointed out, that DID happen in
2005.

This is the problem with the internets and a small group of
people invested in an equally small subject of interest.
Everyone takes shit personally and thinks they have some
influence over its direction or access to it development.

Actually-

going back to the original post, I kind of would like to
know their opinion of working in Reason 4, given it's
modular capabilities and emulation of hardware.

at this point, tools are tools, but it seems like (if
properly used) it could be a mix of both worlds in terms of
process. I know people rag it's sound, but I think *any*
software is gonna need a little help along in terms of it's,
um, beefiness. And, fwiw, it sounds WAY better than
Max/MSP, which has a tendency to be tingy. In conjunction
with say Numerology or Plogue (for event handling) and
Logic for tracking & mastering, Reason 4 could be a heavy
hitter in the right hands.
