Anaheim Ducks vs Los Angeles Kings at the 35,000 seat O2 arena. Does anybody in the UK give a shit? Somehow it sold out, so maybe I'm underestimating hockey's popularity over there. Do they want to see some blood?

the O2 arena is inside the newly reopened Millenium Dome, so i'm sure that helped sell a few seats.

Hockey is a crap form of Rugby. You don't need to dress up and have music playing to add to the sport. It's a far cry from being a 'Gladiator'. It's bad sports/sport on ice really.

Hockey and rugby are both great, and not at all similar.
And hockey players don't ''dress up'' to add to the game, they ''dress up'' so they don't... get killed. The human body isn't meant to withstand that kind of rigor and kinetic energy transfer. Going gearless is fine for rugby, but that's an easier sport.
Speaking of gladiators, the origins of hockey can be traced back to those queer armor thingies like Kirk Douglas was wearing in Spartacus.

Kopitar is pretty damn good. He even had 2 assists last night. My Montreal Canadiens could have drafted him... I cringed when they passed on him.
(we did get Carey Price who is also great, and quite a bit more handsome)
