i like the first cd,
the last time i heard the second one after it,
it was in an extremely uneasy mood though...

You mean the DVD or the soundtrack? I've known about the
definitive edition DVD for a while now, but the soundtrack
also needs a proper release too. The bootlegs are good and
infinitely better than the official OST, but its nice to
have things done properly.

So, that 5-disc ultimate edition doesn't have whatever
version is coming out this December? Is the thing being
released in December another cut of the movie, or a
re-mastered soundtrack? If it's another cut of the movie,
I'd definitely like to see it.

re:memories of green... the bit between 1:10 and 2:20 is
possibly up there with my favorite musical moments of all
time

the label was totally daft to wait 12 years for releasing
the soundtrack, but indeed the 2xCD bootleg one (esper
edition) is much better. but as a total sound movie, its
impossible to put out a proper soundtrack because every
single moment in blade runner has musical qualities (words,
sounds, futuristic noises, vangelis). you could just tape
your dvd into a wave (sound) file & get the ideal
soundtrack.

harrison ford always seems like he's unhappy with whatever
role he's playing.

I really like the new music on the 3cd release too. I
haven't checked if the original score has been remastered or
not, but i'm thinking it hasn't... it always sounded great
to my ears anyway, but it's nice to have a more "complete"
package, even if the bootlegs still offer more music from
the film.

oh and blade runner blues is still perfect.

Perfect score, just about my favourite - CD 3 seems a bit
redundant tho.

Just DLed a Vangelis discography, so been working my way
through that - Invisible Connections is some nice minimalist
stuff; I also enjoyed his score for 1492: Conquest of
Paradise, among others.
