Only one more thread from me today, i promise.

I took over a friends' expensive photocamera. Wanted to try
to see if i can make photos. The result is "sorry, no. You
can't make good photos".

But there is one thing I found near my work - a church in
the very center of Kiev.

I find it funny.

The design on that car is awesome! If I could paint, I would
paint it.

Bizarre scene. Those cars used to be pretty common (and
ridiculed) in Norway too.

Thats the one church Id attend,
under a dripping air conditioner, no less :)
Nice bars on the building windows also.

God wants them to give more $$ probably.

The Temple Of Saint Samsung The Air Conditioner

Some useless info:
Church is pretty bad - they are squatting land little by
little using this scheme:

- finding a place, i.e. in national park
- claiming it to be a "sacred place", perhaps "here lay the
bones of St. " [insert name]
- putting some photocopies of a prayer or two
- some icons in office transparent files nailed to trees
- if someone is against, they put a fanatic granny or two
there to fight those who are opposed to this land
privatisation
- some years later a small or large building starts

crazy spores-like folks :)

So, that's the entire church? That little room? Or is that
just the entrance and the building behind it is the church?

yeah, man.
i've logged in just to tell you this.

I'll go and check it more carefully, but i already did. this
church has two entrances. Second entrance is just a tiny bit
to the left - say, 3 meters and it is a simple shitty stairs
into the cellar of the building. The building has 9 or 10
floors and is a usual soviet multi-apartment house. Second
entrance doesn't have a dome upon it.

Near the stairs, there are some signs saying that this is a
church of moscow patriarchate.

I think this church has part of the cellar and, maybe, some
room on the first (ground) floor.

Hey, thanks for taking the time to reply to me. I'd love to
take a tour of that church in person, to get a feel for the
actual size of it. Have you attended any sermons there?

this definitely is a great photo!

thanks :)

I mean that it appeared not easy to make a good-looking
photo. Composition, lighting, stuff like that :) At this
one, as I understand, the dome is in shadow a bit too much
(wrond time of day).
