 | I'm just curious whether or not people are very excited for the release of Reason 4.0. I personally can't wait to try
out the Thor modular synth and also spend some time with the
reworked sequencer interface. Anyone planning on picking up
a copy either as soon as it comes out or after waiting a bit
for the price to drop? Someone at my local music instrument
store said that anyone with a registered copy of Reason 3.0
will be able to upgrade to 4.0 at no charge, and I'm not
sure if this is true, but if it is, what's to stop me from
buying a sealed copy of Reason 3 at a bargain price and then
registering and getting $400 Reason 4.0 for free?

 | I am buying it. The upgrade from Reason 3 will run me $129. Beta testing version 4, I can say it will be worth every
 penny.

On a side note, both Richard Devine and Tipper did design
work on this release. Thor is truly epic and the modulation
capabilities just increased to the nth degree.

 | "Is Reason 4 XP SP2 only"
I'm not sure, though if it is, then I might have problems as
I'm running Vista 32-bit. Sure, there's always "run under XP
SP2 compatibility" in vista, but it doesn't always work.

 | Reason isn't a piece of shit. This new modular synth is going to be a nice edition along with the new sequencer. i
hope that is more accurate and easier to work with than the
current one in R-3 which is why i stopped using it. the
hardware interface with patching etc is probably the best
 feature of all though.

 | ok i fucking hate reason 4
the sequencing blows, you have to actually highlight the
areas in the song you want to use on an instrument

and i can't seem to even move a note on the nn-xt after
clicking out of the piano roll mode the first time

 AND

now i have to download the reason 3 torrents because when i
try to open 3 it asks me for the discs. and demonoid is
 down

 f reason 4
