so i recently moved into a new apartment and have noticed that there is a strong, consistent open wireless connection but only when im right next to one wall.
does anyone know of any wireless signal boosters which would allow me to piggy back on this network? im doing a bit of googling, but only coming up with units which are just high powered antennas meant to be physically plugged into the router.
so yeah, any advice? id love to get my internet situation squared away, esp if its without paying for high priced dsl or cable.

alas, one of the few failings of the macbook: limited expansion. :(
thanks for the vid tho, i hope it helps. something seems appropriate about watching it in 20 second bits while it buffers.

Hang on!!! your that 'hedphukker' that teased us all with oink invites then said no.
even when i offered you my neighbours cat., a fake linux pengiun AND a special program called soulseek version 156c
only on the internet can people get away with such atrocity's
"does anyone know of any wireless signal boosters which would
allow me to >piggy< back on this network"
You now want us to help you !!?? so you can run your (piggy) oink system far more reliably adn efficiently in the comfort of your sty..
have you tried maplin yet? they have all types of things like that.

how silly of me , i'm so forgetful ....
i have this wonderful program called 'RooaRR' it can actually filter out any noise in the reception ( kinda like line balancing ) and all software configuable, no need for any extra hardware and its user tweakable too.
you'll love it.
