I skim read that and thought it was real till I got about
half way down.

I don't like gigs/clubs/pubs on NYE any more. Crowded,
expensive, unable to get to the bar, huge shortage of taxis,
the taxis that are running take the piss with their prices,
etc.
A good house party, within walking distance of home and with
some fireworks is where it's at.
