it's alright for slightly dull trance music i guess.

has its moments. haven't listened to any of it in years,
though. anyway, tolstoyed, i always considered shpongle to
be of the more interesting kind of trance, although my
knowledge in the field is quite limited.

well, i agree they're among the more interesting ones..what
i meant with dull was electronic trance music in general.

i find it odd that the idm scene is for the most part
diametrically opposed to music that is trance-like but with
open arms will listen to the shittiest gabba, wank 303 acid
techno, bad house music and paint by numbers drum and bass.

Shpongle is awesome, but to pigeonhole that side project as
trance is mentally retarded

the track 'dorset perception' is a work of art and a fuckin'
trip in itself.

the rest pales in comparison, sadly. I still like them
though.

the rest pales in comparision?!

-divine moments of truth
-the seventh revelation
-when shall i be free?
-invocatioin
-crystal skulls

shpongle is great !

it kind of fails in comparison to most idm as far as
innovation, but its still great for general listening/zoning

they are all good tracks. some very good even, but dorset
perception is orgasmic. like some of the more psychedelic
orbital tracks on middle of nowhere.

the remix album is good too.

divine moments of truth is killer, that whole first record
is the shizz...i find it more creative than most current
"idm".....jackeroffer said it as best as you can...

he can get a bit cheesy. Star Shpongled Banner is ruined
when that silly gated strings come in.

and some of the tracks on nothing lasts are really quite
mental. outer shpongolia with all those lovely delayed
spasms of vocal noises

i know this comment will receive flames but at one time i
considered Go Plastic and Are you shpongled to be the two
most innovative/ground breaking albums as far as DSP work
goes. both for totally different reasons but i still found
Ar you shpongled to have very impressive production
techniques
