Calika - Seedling Mother: CD Out Now

Simon Kealoha's second album on Audiobulb brings forth an
interplay of detailed electronic and acoustic elements. The
reviews are flooding in:

"an immersive and impressive experience" - Clash Magazine

".... Kealoha merging Squarepusher-like bravado with the
type of rambunctious post-rock attack commonly practiced by
Run_return." - Textura

Visit the site to hear track previews from this
extraordinary album.

Seedling Mother is available on CD and digital download from
the ABulb Shop.

So what do you reckon the Squarepusher reference? is it
warrented?

Here is a clip of the music....

No, the comparison isn't warranted; this is better than
Jenkinson's recent efforts.

Seriously though (although the above is serious too), I can
see why the comparison to []music, but very well done.

Sorry last section of that post should read:

Seriously though (although the above is serious too), I can

see why the comparison to squarepusher's music. Not my sort
of music, but it is very well done.

Audiobulb as a whole is very underrated.

Thanks for your comments - that's an interesting viewpoint
Rostasky - what makes you say that - and how would it get
more rated?

As with any small indie label - it is hard to get noticed on
a wider scale - hard as I try to work on that.... I would
appreciate any views on how to push the label's rating!

I agree about being underrated audiobulb has some quality
artists. But the area you cater for is a small one. Also
with most of the punters being technically savy they just
rape what they want from oink.

Have you been in any of the local magazines David? Exposed
and the other city ones?

yeah - we've been in exposed & sandman :)

but underexposed and under rated are two different things
arn't they...

i know a lot of people are into what we are doing

it seems that more people know about us than i thought

we have a mailing list of +1200 & 6000 visitors per montrh
to the website

but there is always scope to try and reach more people - it
is a niche sound and locating those people who are into it
is the challenge

worldwide distro channels is a big challenge as well - i
still need a US distro company with a decent reach.... also
Italy & Australia

anyway - hope you enjoy Calika :)
