Got a silly question.. (: but i'm only beginning and
actually a noob in this kind of stuff, so what i want to
know at the moment is what do i have to use to get to the
same (or close) results?

This is it -
[14] [41:13] [nate tarrant] met biddler - cifty fent
(spoonerisms are fun mix) it's on XLTvibes vol. 6, the track
is so damn cool (:

In fact, it is used a lot by the likes of autechre,
squarepusher and others.. What i'm talking about is a
resynthesis technique that produces those
'crumbling'/'fragmenting' effects on the sample, basically i
can see how it works, but what kind of software is capable
of doing it? If it is reaktor or max/msp, what patches would
you recommend for this type of job?
thanks.

depends on how much essence of congs you have to work with.
are you making the wobbly bits go lengthwise? are you
constantly turning the crank to make sure the beats don't
stop?

always work with the maximum essence of congs... that's the
only tip you need.

I always try and make sure the congs don't overlap, so you
don't get that nasty pumping sound as 2 congs next to one
another cancel parts of the sound out.

sorry systemicz, you're 10 years too late for your question
to garner a thoughtful response=[
