Let's try to steer clear from listing the ULTRA DAW studio
progs like pro tools & logic....

and no softsynths!

What do *you* use on your box?

Loop makers?
Samplers?
Sequencers?
Sound editers?
Collab software?

What DAW zines you read? How much for a subscription?

why you use them over another competing prog, or why you
don't use them!

tips, questions, and sugestions are also welcome!

here's what i used to run (and am curious as to what the MAC
equiv's are)

PC.

Fruity Loops 6 for loop creation...
Sonic Foundry Sound Forge for sound editing, and FX...
Sonar 6 for sequencing...

Mac.

Abelton 6.07 BABY!!!! --dj sequencer--
NI Reaktor 5 & NI Battery

nutin else...what would be the mac equiv's for FL, and Sound
Forge?!

Mags = Occasional copies of Computer Music, and Future
Music...

oh yeah....please refrain from listing *every* bloody plugin
you got.

Loop makers?

Reason,
Floops (5/6)
Hammerhead

Samplers?

The built-in ones in Reason, Floops and Ableton.

Sequencers?

Floops, Ableton

Sound editers?

Wavelab

Collab software?

I usually either ask for a pack of .wavs and the bpm, or a
.flp or .rns file if people have made the track in either of
those progs.

Mags = (Very) Occasional copies of Computer Music, and
Future
Music...
