lazy link ftw

It was only a matter of time before someone attempted this,
not surprised VW was the first.

iCar you say, presumably the engine will blow up 1 month
outside of the warranty and they'll want to charge you more
than the cost of a new car to replace it?

Oh and then Creative will bring out a car with a proper
name, that is vastly more robust, safe, with a much better
mpg, more capacity, easier to park and a much better sound
system (who wouldn't want a cambridge soundworks speaker
system in their car?) and it wall cost 30% less. But no one
will buy it and everyone will buy the iPieceOfShit one
instead, because it "looks so good" and "represents me as an
individual".

It's totally snobby to be annoyed when a trendy product
becomes omnipresent and yet is overpriced garbage.

Yes and it's rank snobbery to be irritated by the fact that
one of the most mainstream, not to mention ubiquitous and
commercially-whored products is somehow still seen as
"alternative" and cool (although God only knows why).

Ipod: A piece of shit, but a triumph in marketing.

offline jtalton from Onomichi (Japan) on 2007-08-31 06:37 [#02116336]

its snobby when all you have to do is not buy it and Shut
the fuck up about it.

Well i guess the alternative is to make a thread and try to
convince everyone that apple products ar shit just because
you cant afford it.

Actually what i am trying to say is you guys are losers
cause you actually follow products you hate and actually get
annoyed by them making another product. Thats just sad you
loser retard fagots.

You know what i am mad about new cigarettes. I mean they try
to sex it up with new filters and homo colors on the box.
All the warning, and its overpriced as hell. I thought
atleast now that everyone is turning gay and is against
smoking hopefully they would lower the prices so us smoker
could die happy.

Oh yeah and my Ipod still works. Had it for 5 years did
everything it said it could do so i guess mine wasnt a piece
of shit. Guess i was lucky

Indeed, it sounds like you were lucky. Exceptionally lucky
when it came to the battery life, in particular. I'm sure
somewhere in the world, there's a Lada that hasn't
broken down. That doesn't mean that they are, on the whole,
reliable.

The reason people 'hate on' Ishit and comment on it so much
is because fans of the products can't shut the fuck up about
them. For those of us who aren't into gagging on Steve Job's
dick, it's a tad tedious the way we are incessantly reminded
of how great everything apple have made, ever, is. It's not
just people on the interweb, it's the media too. Every cunt
who works in TV and journalism seems to like Ishit and
consequently rams several minute long free adverts, under
the guise of a "news story" down our throats every time
apple release their next new, hyped-to-the-hilt,
revolutionary piece of shit.

It happened with the iPod, it happened with the
iPhone and it'll happen with the
iTrainWreckOfACarWithAWankAppleBrandedSoundSystem too.

BTW, "loser retard fagots" is a top insult. The mis-spelling
of 'faggots' really adds a nice touch of internet tough guy
rage to it. Keep up the good work.

I've a 3rd generation iPod that has been flawless for that
last 4 years, still on its first battery and used most days
in my car.

I remember the equivalent Creative mp3 player at the time
was an over weight croc of shit.

Fanboyism.

one here even tried to defend the ipod.

what so you think you know better than consumers what is
best for them

my ipod works well, hasn't broken, had it for over 2 years
now.

in my experience, people that break their ipods are people
that treat it like it's unbreakable.

Its sad that your pussy gets bruised whenever anything goes
mainstream.

jesus christ. lets all cry when somebody names fair and
square reasons for detesting iPod and related products.

the fact that they are even considering merging a digital
music format/player and a car is utterly ridiculous.

a sad day in the history of VW indeed.

Yes, apart from Jtalton, sheffieldBleep and yourself (so
about 1/3rd of the people in the thread at that point), no
one tried to defend the iPod.

Sorry, when I said "mis-spelling" what I meant was, "the
American way of spelling it, which was conciously
changed from the (correct) English spelling, by dropping
duplicate consonants, as per Jewellery -> Jewelery, etc. in
order to distance themselves from their British
heritage..."

Sorry, I forgot I was on the interweb and that we talk
American here.

no one of the people you mentioned tried to make a point FOR
the ipod (and/or against whatever), we just critized your
own snobby opinion and ways you put your points across. do
you know the difference?

at most we share our experiences with the products we
bought, that's far from "defending".
