Okay, so I'm pretty skeptical about all this bebo, myspace
stuff, but i'm starting to feel like i'm missing out on
something. Fuck, everybody's doing it. But up until now I've
even avoided using instant messaging.

At the same time though, there's something that makes me
feel a wee bit unconfortable about existing on the net
(although I suppose in a way I already do).

The last couple of days I've come close to giving serious
consideration to joining one of these wretched things. But
the truth is I'm a person who values my privacy and don't
really feel comfortable putting my life on line, nevermind
the fact that I pish away enough hours in the day on the web
as it is.

I guess my point is, what's the point of all this shit?
What's it doing to people? And, most importantly, can I
still be a functioning part of 21st centure society whilst
avoiding all that shit?

Your friend in angst,
Berk.

It's not so much the internet representing my life, but I
just don't see the point of spending so much time to
accumulate relationships which, in the majority, I would
term as superficial or trivial; at the same time, I'd be
lying if I didn't feel I was missing out on something...

XLT v2 will be a fusion of MySpace and Facebook, with
embedded music players where you least expect it.

Excellent. I understand it has been under development for
quite some time now.

It's alright for getting copies of photos from parties years
ago off old mates. Other than that, it's a bit of a waste of
time IMO.

You can make real friends on the net and actually make very
useful contacts.

But I find myspace great for keeping in reach of old friends
scattered around the world
