hahaha, that was absolutely hilarous. It worked in a strange
and curiously arrousing way. Although i'm no fan of rap by
any stretch of the imagination, I gave it some head boppin
since, afterall, Agiespolis was playing too.

To answer your question about how to get vocals isolated.
There's a production technique surprisingly easy to do if
you got a half decent DAW. It should be under an audio
process menu of some kind. All you do is "subtract" the left
and right channels to a stereo file or track. Obviously it
will depend on L,R content but it should get rid of the beat
most of the time if nothing else.

See the link I posted a few posts up... it's a version I did
2 years ago. It's slightly different but of a much higher
quality.

@portal13: The beat/song is so much alike that it's not
necessary to isolate the vocals.

yeah, the technique is really simple.
Normally vocals are recorded without any panning. This means
they are equally in the left and right channels of a stereo
mix. By inverting one channel and mixing with the other, the
vocals will cancel out and most of the rest will remain.

The remaining instrumental can then be subtracted from the
vocal+music track of the original to leave only vocals. The
fact that the human voice uses much less bandwidth than
music means that filtering can also be employed to remove
any further traces of music.

Even without lots of special functions, a simple editor can
do it. Even without a DAW, a simple electronic circuit with
about 4 opamps (1 chip and a few passive components) can be
used.

I think the easiest way to isolate the vocals in this case
is to buy the 12" with the acapella.

bitches!

I don't usually like this Aphex Twin character, but adding
Snoop and Pharrell's excellent rhymes it's just about
listenable.

swears...perhaps you have to listen to more Aphex if you
think excelent rhythmes come from Snoop Dogg.
