HERE

It comes in a briefcase. And it comes with an origami
unicorn and toy spinner car.

5 versions of one movie.

This is ridiculous. It makes me dislike the movie a little.

Great film, but how the hell did they justify 5 discs from
one film?

At least it's not actually very expensive at all.

I bought the friday the 13th box set. Ugh, one slightly ok
original and like 8 shit sequals. And the pretentious
producer or director or whoever makes an appearance at the
beginning with all of his shit 'insights' of his
masterpiece-of-shit. To make horror movies you throw some
film together half ass then spend 95% of your time creating
the box art. Oh yeah, this was about blade runner.

I know there's a Director's Cut and the original, and
according to Amazon there's a New Cut (bloody hell) so that
leaves 2 discs of extras...?

A gimmicky briefcase would fit perfectly into a D.V.D.
holder; I sure hope they have the traditional alternative of
a plastic rectangular case.

There are 5 different versions of the film. What?

Disc 1
RIDLEY SCOTT'S ALL-NEW "FINAL CUT" VERSION OF THE FILM

Disc 3
1982 THEATRICAL VERSION

1982 INTERNATIONAL VERSION

1992 DIRECTOR'S CUT

Disc 5
WORKPRINT VERSION

If there was a Director's Cut in 1992 then why does the
Director need to do another cut? I bet in 5 years, when the
franchise is 30 years old they will discover more "lost
footage".

Sounds like it's worth it for the extras at least.

Most probably, I don't mind though, it's a great film.

Because Ridley Scott didn't actually do the "director's
cut", he was busy on Thelma & Louise. Since the theatrical
cut was taken out of his hands somewhat as well this is the
first time you see Scott's intended version.

I won't buy it though, this film is overrated.

Another reason for this new version is that Scott is adding
in new scenes (like the new versions of the original star
wars trilogy). Theres some effects work being redone and
reshoots with a couple of cast member lookalikes and the old
sets have taken place.

Strangely enough, I watched the DC of Blade Eunner last
night. Still an incredible film with one of my favourite
soundtracks ever. "Blade Runnner Blues" is just perfect.

Oh and I knew about this release a while back. Can't wait to
see the ultimate edition + extras, all in super high
quality.

The Esper edition of the soundtrack is brilliant. So is the
official, but a multi-disc version is fab.

I've orrderred the 5 disks (not in the brriefcase
thing). I'm a huge fan of the movie and I've been
waiting forr this forr yonks so it's obviously a must have,
but like someone said, it's rreally well prriced. You can't
go wrrong even if you only want it forr the 'Final Cut'.

i'm so going to get this, been waiting ages for it too! the
special effects look better than films made today! Its one
film that is most definitely not overrated...

I think a CD with the ultimate super edition of the OST
should also jhave been in this release.. It would've been
perfect then.

But regardless of that I can't wait to see what the revamped
film looks like, and what they've done to it.
It's pretty advanced tech today..

Anyone else reckon Rhidian from X-Factor looks like a
younger version of Rutger Hauer's character in Blade Runner,
Roy Batty?

I'm going to have to get this for my dad for Christmas. He's
a huge bladerunner fan and I haven't had any ideas yet for
what to get him this holiday. Problem solved!

...I should add that he only has the movie on VHS. He's got
a nice entertainment setup (new plasma tv + nice audio) but
he still has a large collection of VHS and not nearly as
many dvds, so I'll help ease him into this generation of
technology. :)
