does anyone know how the hell you disable an onboard
soundcard if the options aren't there in the fricking
bios???

it's driving me mad!

i have a new external soundcard for my laptop... i thought
it may be the reason why i get popping sounds. i used to get
this problem with my old ext sound card too....

i am using 3 soundcards with asio4all at the same time
perfectly fine - my ac97 onboard, my creative zs notebook
and my x-station. no pops. asio4all has this great ability
to give every device another value of latency.

throttling. turned all sounds down from red to green. used
latest drivers. make sure to unplug usb device correctly.
loads more stuff as well probably. . .

i've never really got on with that aiso 4 all thang....

nothing to "get in" with asio 4all - just install, launch
your favourite prog, choose asio4all and use your gear about
130 % of it's normal power.

i always get weird clicks after using ableton for a while,
at some point i tihnk the external sound interface is just
kind of fighting with the port it's plugged in (that is, if
yours is like an USB or Firewire card)

although i wouldn't recommend that lates "beta version"
because it seems a bit buggy. better go back to the last
stable version.

btw - would be much easier if you would tell something about
the soft, the card and the pc aswell for troubleshootin
