The media centre is called -The Printworks.
It was once a newspaper company.

Nice!

For some reason I really liked the first one of that rock
circle... you really nailed something there, but I'll be
damned if I know what.

He nailed a rock? Pervert.

But yes, good pics sir. You covered a lot of ground on your
trip.

absolutely gorgeous photos jeroeny. I always forget how many
stunning places there are in England until I see photos like
this, or I go on family day trips to places. I really need
to do a similar kind of tour I think! Glad you had such a
good time :)

Great pics. Looks like you saw more of england than a lot of
english people do.

Very good pics mate. As diablo says, it looks like you saw
loads. I travel all over the UK for work and there were
places I'd not been to there!

wow. i am humbled by everyone's kindness :D

I hope the pics speak for themselves, but you have to know,
the lake district was a million times more beautiful than
these photos show. When i did that walk on that sunny day on
that mountainpass, i just couldn't believe my eyes. And i
had it all to myself for hours. When i did see someone else
walking about, it was always the friendliest of people
willing to stop for a little chat and it was just perfect.

I met three awesome and fine english gentlemen (in their
sixties and seventies!) on top of the summit, after i had
climbed that scramble you can see on the photos. They had
seen me struggle to get up there and i think they waited to
see if i wouldnt tumble down. When i got up there i asked if
they had been as terrified as i had been they simply replied
'they weren't exactly happy there either'. Feeling like a
lost child i then said 'right ok, if you don't mind, i'm
tagging along now because i have absolutely no clue how to
get off this mountain, and if the descent is anything like
this, i'm calling for a helicopter'.

They seemed ok with this so i followed them and after we had
descended slowly and painfully in the rain (me wearing plain
jeans, of course) we had a pint at the pub at the foot of
the mountain and exchanged email adds for the photos. They
all seemed a bit surprised that i was by myself, but i can
assure you it is incredibly nice to meet people this way and
it would have been a lot different had i been with mates.

So yeah, if you live in England, don't miss out if you have
a chance to go up there. I was told 'all english people go
up there for holidays' but i havent experienced this at all,
and besides all english people i met were extremely friendly
so dont let that put you off :D

thanks again!

I've been up to the lake districts a few times with friends.
On a sunny day with good company, 20 mile walks feel like a
stroll in the park. Albeit one with lots of grass, birds and
distant mountains :)

Also a fantastic spot for some casual outdoor sex. With
animals of course.

Agreed apart from the animals bit.

I love walking these places. Our Country is still beautiful.
