For you MGS fans, finally they show real gameplay and it is truly great and all my fears were quashed. The control and movement have finally been revamped and look so much more natural and intuitive, obviously taking cues from Splinter Cell and Ghost Recon, and the camera is perfect. The action in the city looks dynamic and fun, an entire building even collapses.
But there's so many crazy unique details that could only be in a Metal Gear game. The rolling drum and subsequent puking, the little robot, that truly awesome camo, plenty of crotch grabbing, gay statue camo, Snake using a PS3 controller to control his little Metal Gear, holding up dudes at gunpoint, looking through erotic magazines IN-GAME... rad. It would be really cool if you could import your own girls. Naked girls.

Indeed. Kojima is a notorious perv according to his co-workers. It shows.

haha I remember that part of MGS2, very funny.
Can't wait for the next one. Although I never finished the 3rd, thought it was too far fetched (story-line).

That always made me chuckle even though it's a really really bad joke. The video isn't loading for me, though.

I can already tell I'm going to spend hours just hiding! This will be awesome!
Hahaha, the smell bit is awesome! They had that in 3 as well with that suit, but there it was more of a soldier repellant...

Y'know, Metal Gear Online was announced too, and we might be getting it this year. I was pretty addicted to Subsistence Online for a few weeks, but I'm not a big online gamer... and it was a horribly flawed experiment, albeit with some GREAT ideas. But it got old fast. Hopefully lessons were learned (more emphasis on stealth, plz). The new controls are much more suited to that kind of thing now.
Ideally, I want to have access to, like, every MG character ever. Updated models of the ninja and sexy Eva and stuff. Vulcan Raven. THE MOTHER FUCKIN' FURY. MGS1-era Snake sans mullet. So handsome. That's what I want. Probably far too much to ask but maaaan. Subsistence had a few special characters with unique abilities. Just expand on that.

And apparently the game is going to be stand-alone, a release unto itself, so the least they can do is load it with hot, wet fanservice, Metal Gear wet dreams that can't occur within the context of the real canon.

Think of it. Dead Cell vs Foxhound team deathmatches, Classic Snake vs Naked Snake, Sniper Wolf vs The End hardcore snipe-a-thons, Emma Emmerich vs Holly White cat fights... humminahumminahummina.

hahaha!
If MGS was to be online, they'd have to somehow make the stealth and sneaking stuff possible.. like your character can't see what's behind him, but if the person sneaking up on you makes a noise, you get alerted to his position.. or something.

I'd actually like a co-op campaign.. I mean, the co-op from that one splinter cell game was great fun (but too short), and that's mostly because it was true co-op, not just two people doing each their thing. It makes the game a bit more fun when you can play with a mate and you can plan out elaborate schemes to get the guards.
