Endless Summer remaster

Is louder better? Do you think it brings out more detail
and body? Or has it merely had its dynamic range crunched
out?

i'm confused. are you not talking about that old surf movie?
it must be the most easy going viewing experience in
history. reminds me of the documentarian style life aquatic
tried to recreate.

Beautiful album. Haven't checked out the remaster. Two extra
tracks, right? I can't wait for the new album

I have changed my mind after more listening. The remaster
brings out body in the sound that wasn't there before. For
example the clicks in the sound around 2:40 in the title
track now have a decay time that makes them more
substantial.

And the loud parts aren't excessively crunchy or
irritating.

I guess I have a kneejerk reaction against using mastering
tools on material that's already classic.

I'm not sure if the two added tracks add much to the album
but hey, more Fennesz! Can't complain.

chuds eat me.

I don't care, I don't even want to hear the extra tracks,
the original cover is so much better and that's enough for
me.

yeah, the new cover's really boring and bonus tracks seem
like a cheap idea. chantal goya is awesome, by the way, and
have a listen to this, i think you'll love it.

hi
i can't post a picture, so you'll have to accept this
Results 1 - 21 of about 10,000,000 for high five

It's a great film yeh. Not so sure about Chantal Goya
herself outside of that. But also it's the name of one of my
songs, with very short samples from Masculin,
féminin, though not of Chantal Goya herself. Clever and
obscure.

sam> Hi. The song is fantastic. I think the panning makes me
laugh. It also makes me want to be a hero. This is the
greatest thing, thank you.

!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i'll have to listen to this when i get home! man am i
pumped; it's too bad i have to wait six hours to listen to
it. do you have any other godardian tunes?

that high-pitched squealing sound you're hearing is just how
excited i am.

offline dariusgriffin from cool on 2007-07-24 15:55 [#02106275]

Wellllll, don't get too excited, it's just two meaningless
samples of greatest actor in the universe Jean-Pierre
Léaud, one at the beginning and one at the end, totaling a
little less than three seconds.

offline dariusgriffin from cool on 2007-07-24 16:05 [#02106278]

there's also this. the title is the last line from
Pierrot le fou and there's a fairly lengthy sample from Week
End at the end, the guy reciting Lautréamont at the drumkit
and some chickens from the following scene, though it's kind
of lost in a bunch of other soundy stuff. Also it's long and
from 2005.
