Anyone here into stuff like grime, uk hip hop, garage, breaks or jungle.
Thought not..... Anyone like stuff like Dizzee Rascal, Klashnekoff, Wiley, Kano, Skinnyman anything like that?
Basically urban music.

I'm getting too old now for all those childish music styles.
However I used to be into all of the above.

good jungle is still something i just get that "aaaah fuck yes" feeling about. i'd love to see some proper "rinse" in a club at one point, but i'm afraid it won't ever happen :(

Out of interest?

Not all the time. I listen to it, i'm not a stereotype. I'm 21 from the midlands I'm white, trained professional full time employed , engaged.....blah blah blah.
Just because I like uk hip hop doesn't mean i'm from London and i'm going to mug you and rape your Gran.

I still listen to Roots Manuva but very very good UK hiphop is quite hard to find. The new Dizzee album is shite.
I just got bored of it all as I got older. I mean there is something wrong with a 62 year old listening to the latest Burial release.

Not really.
I agree though Dizzee's album is shite. He shouldn't even be entered for the Mercury Music Award for Maths and English.
Wiley's -Playtime is over ;is worth listening to though.
To be honest I never really listened to Roots before.

Childish in the context that in the States you are expected to have married your sister and produced two in bred kids before you're 15?
There is nothing wrong with being engaged at 21.

sorry, just speaking from what ive seen that attempting to make that kind of commitment to someone at still such a young age (im 21 myself) is just fucking dangerous.
granted youre not married yet (and i have no idea when you plan to be), but i have two friends (more like acquaintances really) who just got married at 23 and 24 and within a week theyve already managed to fuck up their marriage licensing, fight continuously and alienate their only friend they had left.

I like most of Roll Deep and Wonder's stuff, Virus Syndicate have their moments too. I'm more into Dubstep than grime at the moment though. There's still some good drum and bass about, mind (that new High Contrast track is quite tasty).

I like a bit of dubstep myself although I've gone no further than to buy a compilation cd, do you recomend any good albums (not comps.) ?

There are not many good albums:
Burial - Burial is superb (definately get this if you've not already, give it a few listens it took me a few to get into it).
Cyrus (of Random Trio) - From the Shadows is quite good, if you're buying on 12", get disc 1 first as that is the best IMO.
Distance - My Demons. Some good tracks, some filler. Quite an interesting album and quite different to the normal dubstep sound.
Best bet is to get the 12"s with good single tracks, my recs (these are, in no particular order my favourites):
Kromestar - Surgery, Kode 9 - Nine Samurai, Loefah - Voodoo, Distance - Fallen Distance - Delight (B side to the Vex'd remix of 'Fallen') Pinch - Qawwali Burial - Unite (on the "Box of Dub" compilation) Burial - Night Train (not to be confused with 'Night Bus')
Hope you enjoy some of these.
