Gas prices are a lot higher in many other countries, so we can't really complain.
It's about $3.10-$3.20 where I live. I think we should all start riding bikes. Work less per day, ride more. We'd pollute a hell of a lot less, be in better shape, and have really chapped asses. It'd be great!

Why do you call it gas? You know the definition of a gas? We call it Petrol... which is what it is.

And we consume far more than our fair share. I honestly think that SUV's should be illegal for everything but offroad use (recreational), and even then have a steep annual tax or something. There are so many things Americans could do to reduce our consumption of and dependency on foreign oil, but everyone is too goddamned up their own asses to trade in the Hummer for a Honda. :(

Gasoline - a volatile flammable liquid hydrocarbon mixture used as a fuel especially for internal combustion engines and usually blended.
It's got nothing to do with its physical state.

Yeah, I know.. haha, I saw that thing on discovery, the SUV revolution or whatever.. the companies that produce SUVs had done some research on who bought their cars and they came to the conclusion that it was mostly insecure and slightly unstable people plus some women. So they modified their commercials to hit those target groups.

here + SUV revolution
"According to market research conducted by the country's leading automakers, Bradsher reports, SUV buyers tend to be "insecure and vain. They are frequently nervous about their marriages and uncomfortable about parenthood. They often lack confidence in their driving skills. Above all, they are apt to be self-centered and self-absorbed, with little interest in their neighbors and communities. They are more restless, more sybaritic, and less social than most Americans are. They tend to like fine restaurants a lot more than off-road driving, seldom go to church and have limited interest in doing volunteer work to help others.""

I'm glad that the prick in the 4x4 that cut me up this morning (and had the audacity to swear at me, as though it was somehow my fault) has to pay through the nose for petrol.
Battered, muddy old range rovers, towing trailers, which are clearly used offroad or for farm work tend to be fine and I have no problem with them. It's people in vehicles which are really just 4x4 stylised cars (SUVs) who drive like cunts and don't really need them that give 4x4s a bad name.

Most people with SUV's have them as vanity pieces. Very few are actually being used for their intended purpose, but the ones that are are alright in my book, as well. It's mainly the people who get them because they are trying to compete with everyone else that bother me.

That, and the fact that each one consumes enough gas to change the climate all on their own. That said, your motorcycle isn't particularly ethical either.
