Although i think their older work is highly overrated and
is nothing more than a formulaic basic channel rip-off, this
album's really got a good groove going. Pleasantly
surprised! And fuck me, it was already released in 2006.
I'll put it in my "best-of 2007" list anyways.

yet. o lordy.

and fuck me, it's not by deepchord but by echospace. this is
really not my day. tunes are still great though.

and just to add to your misery, all the vinyl versions have
been released already. CD is coming later.

It's wicked. I like their older material (Vantage Isle,
HR-01, etc.) as well too. The whole series was available (in
stupidly limited quantites on white label) a couple of
months back. All of them are great, but so far I've only had
time/money to get a proper copy of part 1. I will be getting
the others sharpish though.

I made it a personal rule of mine never to buy a basic
channel-esque release ever again.

Then I heard the new cv313 and failed.

Brisk, i haven't done my homework so you sound like you're
talking in some kind of alien language. What the hell is
cv313? Convextion, or something? I've just heard that
convextion album and think it's ok. But not half as good as
this album's going to be.

cv313 appears to be echospace/rod modell and is currently
single of the week over at boomkat. I have the first release
and it is really nice, but that bassline on the new one is
pretty damn sexy.

both cv313 and vantage 12"s sound mighty fine indeed. thanks
for the up!
looking at boomkat there's the moritz von oswald remix of
that tony allen track as-well. it hasn't got the real bc
grittiness. but the deepness really makes up for it. i guess
some homework can be pretty rewarding.

RE: CV313. I like the samples I've heard, but haven't bought
a copy yet. I take it that the full track is as good as the
samples would suggest?

As an aside, I'm pretty sure CV313 refers to control voltage
(CV, predecessor of midi) 313 (area code of, yes you guessed
it, detroit).

Mark Ernastus' remix of "Moyege" is even better. Grab that
if you can find it... it is most lush

I haven't heard the full release as i'm a little skint at
the moment. I'm sure its great though.

And yes, i'm sure you're right regarding the meaning of
cv313.

I first heard of deepchord and echospace and all that in
another thread where ceri mentioned it. See, this board is
still good for something after all.

Recommend more hotness.

yeah, i admit it. if it wasn't for ceri this thread wouldn't
have existed.

more hotness (but older): this weekend i rediscovered the
3mb feat. juan atkins album on tresor. and i think you
should too. classic stuff!

On the subject of deepchord, managed to get a physical copy
of the stupidly limited (1/500) HR-01. Really good and well
worth the £20 I paid for it.
