...are gonna do a concert where I live. A buddy are trying
to get me to join him, but the only electronic music he
listens to is semi-gay electro-pop. Is Ladytron any good?
Good album, track to start with? Anyone seen them live?

I have to admit, i can get down to "destroy everything you
touch" but after a quick skip through the rest of that
album, I can say I would definitely be really embarrassed to
listen to them in a public space

they're my favourite semi-gay electro-pop group. start with
604, one of my all-time favourite albums. after that they
started moving towards darker songs and shoegazing. the song
'destroy everything you touch' is a good indication of their
new style. their live shows used to be frigid, clinical
performances like sprockets taken seriously. i don't know
what they do now.

but i'm jealous. i hope you enjoy the show.

yes! go see ladytron now!! (well not now, when you can)

id say start out with their first album 604, but also check
out their essential single seventeen (which, live is
awesome).

i saw about 2 minutes of them at coachella two years ago and
was immediately wishing i had seen more. so many guitars in
their show, it really rocks hard.

They're outstanding, don't miss out on this. Their latest
album is a bit more rock/shoegaze oriented than the
predecessors, and just as good.

Had you listened to Efterklang at all before that concert?

Sclah: They are playing on Pstereofestivalen in Trondheim.
Aug 24-25. Will U B there?

Wish I could, but that's just a few days before my thesis
hand-in.

And Efterklang really is boring

Ladytron isn't bad actually.

I was going to see them at a show here a few months ago, but
I mainly wanted to see Cansei de Ser Sexy (they were playing
with them).

Of course, my friend that was going to be my transportation
decided to not go at the last second. Fuckin cunt.

Oh, and as for a track, Seventeen is pretty good.

a few good tracks here and there, perhaps more exciting in
live situation. "he took her to a movie" might be my
favourite track

it's semi-gay electro-pop but quite alright. dude from the
band put out a nice solo record this year too.

I don't think Numbasaurus listens to very much electronica.
She's mainly here because she likes hanging around snobbish
virgins. (not a jab at you)
