Nah, playing some minimal techno (Andy Stott) at the weekend
I played it at 33 and people prefered it to when it was
played at 45.

Have you guys not heard of this great piece of
software?
Its totally free and very small (only 152k).

Direct Link to mr1200 file

Anyway.. It is basically a software turntable.. plays .mp3
at variable speeds of up to +/- 8% or 20% of original speed
or recorded .mp3. so yeah.. rip your mp3 and slow it down
or speed it up via this fun little program..

I found a link to it a few years back. seems not too many
people have tried it?

Hope you enjoy!

Nice bit of software but i doesnt seem to go down to 33rpm.
The lowest I can it is 35.55 as all tracks are loaded at
45rpm and you only have control over a 21% range either way.

OK, dang. Yeah wondered about the 33naferd.. but yeah, nice
if you just want to slow some tracks down a little or battle
the same track. glad you like it anyway Indeksical.

What's been going on in the old IDM world lately?
haven't been keeping up with it of late (lol checked my last
log-on when i logged in tonight and it was kinda mid 2005 i
missed XLT for over a year.. lol and saw some peoples post
numbers are up in the terraflops.

heard some great Vex'D stuff thou, some nice sub workouts.

By the way Indeksical, I checked your myspace music out.

I like the track "I live the pipe dream".

Well done.

Wow guys.. Thanks heaps for the Tuss recommendations.

Found all the tracks from both "confederation trough"
and "rushup edge" listened to a few tracks from
rush up at both speeds and also with the mr1200 for
inbetween
45 and 33naferd.

really great stuff.

you think it might also be Last Step helping out or making
the tea?

Ok, have listen through the "confederation trough" ep once.
love it..

Now listening to "last step - you're a nice girl"?

If anything it plays along nicely with the tuss.

anyway, sorry if im stating the obvious, havent visted XLT
or hunted out any new IDM for a long time.

Thanks futureimage for the slowed down versions.

also on a semi-side note.

a few years back when the "venetian snares - this bitter
earth" 7" came out i found it recorded at both speed
settings and it sounds way better to me at the 33 speed.. so
yeah. if you are lucky enough to have the 7" try it at that
speed or look for a longer version of the track at around 5
min 42sec in length.

Rushup Edge at 33 rpm makes the album listenable, for shure
- even quite good in some sections!

Shit. I am invariably going to sound like a twat here but,
nevermind: I bought the vinyl off boomcat and have been
playing it at 33rpm the whole time, believing that to be the
correct speed. It was only after watching a music video of
track 3 on YouTube a few minutes ago that I have come to
realise that the tunes are commonly played at 45rpm. I have
to say that at 45rpm they sound shite by comparison - imo. I
am actually a little shocked by all of this.

P.S. I don't have the internet at home - this is my
girlfriend's - and rarely use it because I am so busy all
the time, so I have been completely out of touch with any
prior information about the album, save a few rumours.

Haha well done! You really think the 45RPM versions sound
shit though? I think it's a great album at whatever
speed....

myself 6 minutes ago.
