you could see it in a different way as well. (not getting
into the whole thing why he became a beggar in the first
place) you could also tell him to take the sandwich or die
of starvation.

"The jobs pay wages that are atrocious, but the company
doesn't force the workers into those jobs by eliminating
competition or any other unethical means."

you could call it paid slavery.. would it be so bad if they
actually paid wages worth of decent human life? do you
remember stuff about kid workers from asia? it's pure
explotation of people only to make bigger profits so they're
competitive and keep their share holders happy.
