What did I just see :x
Billy: bald, boring, rehashing the smae ole/smae ole
Jimmy: drums: either that song has the simplist drum part or
the dude looked like he was dozing off, like the 5 year old
could play the drums to that song
Bass: some cup-kake blonde chic, not D'arcy
@nd Guitar: all i could see, some white guy that looks kinda
like James Iha
keyboard: some cup-kake, could barely see her

So basically: hearing "Tarantula" on the radio, I really
liked it, but wsnt sure if i was going to get it for the
$9.99, now what do you think?

wasn't impressed by the bits and pieces ive heard. my vote
goes to: DON'T DO IT. it's like going back to your ex,
expecting it to match the ideals of your memories while in
reality it'll suck just as much as it used to. probably even
more.

that's actually a really good metaphor. I like what i've
heard but i haven't been bowled over by it.

The new album is ok. It lacks dynamics, but there are some
very good, rocking tracks on it. Some of them are my new
favourites. But then, there are some weak Weezer-like songs
as well.

But goDel is right, it's like going back to your ex.

They probably looked exhausted as a result of the non stop
touring they've been doing since May. Hardly a day off.
Also, the new songs aren't really that much of a challenge
to play...

you'd probably want to listen to the vinyl version (if there
is one). in all likelihood the cd's mastered way too loud
(resulting in clipping). in the case of the vinyl version
you don't have these problems. there are many examples where
this is the case. especially with 'popular' bands.

Well, I meant dynamics as in there are just one or two songs
that take the album in another direction. It's all about
pop/rock with the emphasis on rock (in a Weezer fashion).
Which is fine, but I would have loved some more variation.
Semantics I guess...

I'll buy the vinyl as soon as it comes out though. It's one
of those 180 gram things... I doubt it will sound better
though... I heard the Zwan lp was as unlistenable as the
cd...

I don't understand why they are mastering albums to sound so
loud these days... They're ruining my ears! It only seems to
be the case with the major label bands, though.

Hello Recycle,

Redrum just phoned me up (he's still on the phone in fact),
and since i'm his bitch, he's making me write out what he
dictates, since he lacks the necessary XLPrivileges to do so
himself. I'll leave out his insults directed at me, my
family and the Swedes, since I don't think he intends them
to be transposed.. but I'm not sure, so bear with me, if any
of the following doesn't make much sense, insert an
anti-swedish racial slur here or there.

ZEITGEIST - THE NEW SMASHING PUMPKINS ALBUM
FIRST IMPRESSIONS: FUCKING SHITE COVER

thought i'd hate it, recycle, since i nearly pissed myself
laughing at that crock of shit "tarantula" when I heard it
on the web. BUT the WHOLE PACKAGE didn't actually
disappoint as much as I was expecting. Some (i.e. one or
two, PERHAPS THREE - AT A PUSH) songs I found myself
thinking "I wouldn't actually mind hearing that
again"

HAVING SAID THAT, I've not listened to the turd of an album
since.

The analogy of "going back to one's ex girlfriend" mentioned
earlier is perfect. It looks like the bitch has been busy
since you were gone, too.

Overall, FUCKING SHITE. Terrible, TERRIBLE lyrics that
scream "I'M TRYING TO BE POLITICAL, DOES IT SUIT ME?" and
fucking dreadful guitar hooks. Grateful it isn't as
overdriven and clipped as machina though.

Pity Billy had to go and do something like this, isn't it?

ok :)

the album is listenable, but not worth the $11.00 at
Target.

Billy had to do something like this.....?
The billy howrdell(sp?) album will be great, snippets are
very good, he still has tallent, not like the bald Corgan.

different?
