SynthEdit appreciation thread

After the Fahtechre thread I've been inspired to make a
thread based around Synthedit entirely.

It's a great piece of free software this. As I said before,
it's a cheap man's Reaktor, but I find it easier to use and
a lot more stable. Also, VSTing is easier.

So what are you guys doing with Synthedit? I've been using
it a lot lately to emulate electronic ideas that I can build
into modules to incorparate into my modular synth once I've
got a decent set up running. The shift register, step
counter and binary counter are great to play around with.
This is my latest (and largest and most
CPU-consuming) idea.

Never tried using it before. I just downloaded it and
realised doing so was silly shortly afterwards as I have no
midi setup at my current location.

You don't really need MIDI for it, I've been using it more
lately for self-generative stuff.

SE looks interesting. Similar to Max/MSP but easier to
use... I'll give it a try

amazing little thing there mate :D

so far i did two simple polysynths, a monosynth (layout and
functions based on the MC202), drummachine, FM
percussionmachine (drummachine module that triggers
individual FM modules which you can alter and shit), a huge
FM synth that's still evolving and that granular plugin.
