i don't know.....this article is in french and i don't speak
french. just because he mentions astrobotnia in the
interview doesn't mean he is astrobotnia, right? the
interviewer could be asking "what's going on at rephlex
right now?", and he answers astrobotnia...
does anybody understand phrench in here?

Chronic' art : Where do you live now? Do you feel you to
belong to an electronic scene in your country or in Europe?

Aleski Perala : I live in Finland, in a small village called
Astro Botnia. I have indeed the feeling to belong to an
electronic scene, though it is very abstract and rather
small. But I make concerts, therefore I take part in this
scene. What brings sometimes new feelings to me.
Sometimes do you work with others musicians European? Who is
and whom these collaborations bring to you?
I made some remixes and I realize sometimes pieces with my
friends. I think that collaborations are positive (even if
that depends on the person with whom you collaborate). They
make it possible to discover new manners of working, of
thinking, to have new projects and new ideas. Humour also is
significant when one works with several.
Which artists and labels do you appreciate in Europe?
The list would be long, though I would not know very about
what leaves in this moment. I like the good music, it does
not matter which does it. I need to again hear something and
of single at least once per month.
How are you found to you in contact with Rephlex?
I sent to them demonstrations during years, small cassettes
full with breath, but I did not have an answer. Then, one
day, they saw a Finnish porn in their dug peat, with my
music. Ca their rained, they called people who made film and
found me like that. I like Rephlex. It is a signal label! I
always worked with them, they do a good work. I really
believe in it.
Do you arrive at living of your music?
Not Cependant, it is my only activity which brings back a
little money to me, even if it is not much. I would have
more money if I accepted the Finnish RMI, but I prefer to
gain myself my money. For the moment, I have enough to buy
cigarettes and to survive.
You produce much music. How do you make? You do not sleep?
You are accro with cocaine?
Would not be stupid! I realized pieces during twelve years,
and they leav
