 | Ok this movie is TOTALY FUCKING AWESOME!!! I just got back from it.

Sure theres lots of stupid things to complain about and it
really is a movie for kids many times , but the big "fatt
beyond fattness" action scenes totaly makes up for it. The
robots kicks so much ass!! The action scenes are fast
explosive and creative. When they fight in the city its like
the spiderman movie on some serious steroids. Even the
musical score was pretty good , it fitted right in .Like the
"hero music" when Optimus rolls up for the first time , very
 majestic.

I agree with many other reviewers when they say that this is
the best "big stupid movie" this year.
I might even go and watch it again.

 (Btw Starscream is the coolest!!)

 | the thing I didn't like about 300 was the blatant patriotic undercurrents--"freedom isn't free" was actually a line in
the movie, a slogan used in many country-western songs.

if they were fighting for "freedom," which Spartan society
was known for...ehem, wait...anyway, if they were fighting
for their "way of life" then why did their leader defy the
oracles; So they are fighting for their way of life by going
directly against it? Makes perfect sense if you're a butt
 head. So there.

 | The movie was horrible.
Okay, it wasn't completely horrible. I just wanted to vent a
 little.

As an action film it sucked. I suppose I might have been
overly hyped by reading reviews praising the action
sequences. I don't know. I'm sure I can divorce myself from
any stigma that might be attached to things like Michael Bay
directing or changes in official Transformer lore, or
whatever. I don't care. The movie seemed amateurish to me.
Mostly in the way the "story" unfolds. There seems to be no
care for basic story arch or dynamics. The hope or idea I
think the moviemakers had was that the comedy would carry
the film from action sequence to action sequence. I cared
for no one in the movie, not a human or robot. Not even
 Bumblebee.

There were instances, though, when seconds or even minutes
of a scene gelled well, but that's it.

I'm too tired to right more, but be warned, you may be
disappointed. I was. If I have time I'll write more
 tomorrow.

Oh, and the CGI looked cartoonish. The chase scenes were not
special or interesting. The final battle was stupid in its
setup and execution. And this has nothing to do with the
reimagining of Transformers from cartoon/toy/cartoon movie
 to live action film.

...and you'd figure that all Decepticon remains would be
incinerated instead of being thrown out to sea. Fucking
stupid script. Yeah, I know it sets up part two...and in the
cartoon, the Decepticons had there base underwater.
 Whatever.

Too tired to write, must go to sleep and forget big dumb
 movie, forge it...starting...now.

 | What did you expect, Transformers was a kids TV series. You want things like a story, a script, acting, direction - it's
2007 mate, all that went out the window the day CGI came in.
Even De Niro and Pacino have sold their soul to it - I guess
all they wanna do is work.

I don't think you can watch a film like Transformers with
any expectations of it being rational or intelligent - it's
about animation, graphics, destruction - if you're into that
 sort of thing.

See Rotten Tomatoes, the reviews seem completely split
between the two ideals, the dumb fucks who think CGI rules
and the intelligesia who are giving up hope of watching a
film with decent acting/script etc. ever again.

 | pfft. it was a dumb film with lots of over the top sgi action that didnt even attempt to take itself seriously.
this actually makes me look forward to the future of action
films. action films have been absolute ass recently. like,
there are other (brilliant) types of film out there, but
when it comes to dumb action films, i think these are the
 steps in the right direction..

 | Optimus Prime should go at the end kredits.
 "Remember kids!
Having expectations of well written script , acting and
direction on a huge hollywood cgi packed movie is all fun
and games until someone loses an eye."
