I know there's already a rate your anime thread here, but
this movie probably deserves a little special attention.

It's a surrelist, twisted sci/fi fantasy that's getting some
nationwide attention here in the U.S.... just saw it at a
local theatre and enjoyed it very much.

official trailer

check it out if you get the chance

other things).

Yes, Paprika is pretty good. It's a movie I wouldn't mind
watching again, if only just to better understand the plot.
The first time around was just for watching awesome
animation.

Paranoia Agent wasn't so great for me though. After
watching four or five episodes, I lost interest and started
watching The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya instead. Now
that's a show! Ha ha ha ha.

Hahaha, that actually sounds awesome! Mostly because it's
like techno, but then it isn't anyway...

wow, really? i couldn't stomach haruhi, it's basically just
another harem anime. paranoia agent has a lot more
originality. a looooooooot more.

Haruhi is awesome! You may just need to get a few more
episodes into it!

That's an anime where I'd actually love a second season;
usually, one is enough, but with Haruhi, I could see them
making a second season that actually made sense to make...

they're going to do a live action show of it! i'll wait for
that.

Hahaha, for real?

Live actions are usually just involuntarily more funny..
have you seen the cutey honey live action? Hahaha, actually,
I recommend both that and the Re: Cutey Honey OVA...

yeah, i have a thing for live action versions of anime for
that reason. the only ones i know of are sailor moon, that
cutey honey one, and now haruhi, though. the world needs
more.

did you know that the cutey honey live action movie was
directed by hideaki anno, the crazy guy behind evangelion?

I suppose it's because there were more fun times to be had
with the S.O.S. Brigade. They are like friends to me.

I like drama also, just something bothered me about Paranoia
Agent's. Perhaps I should give it another try; I heard the
ending is amazing!

That reminds me I should probably buy paranoia agent; I've
only seen a few episodes, but I remember it was good enough
that I decided I should buy it instead of download it since
it was indeed available...

azumanga daioh.

susumu hirasawa has done better, but that's still pretty
cool. he's probably the most unique anime soundtrack
composer outside of the guy who did the akira soundtrack.

Ok, just bought it, just watched it.. AWESOME!

Beautifully animated from start to end. Even if the story is
kind of lacking in places, it manages to keep going.. and
the music.. the music is awesome! Especially the one playing
at the menu of the DVD, the one called Parade in the
official soundtrack. A sort of cut-up version of the main
theme (nigeru mono) with marching band stuff on.

I love the stuff all the dreaming people say.

No, wait.. not nigeru mono.. or at least maybe not...

I don't know what the original track names are, I have two
versions.
