That's great. I love organic looking stuff made artificially and glad actionscript can do stuff like this. It'd be more visually powerful to make something like that cellular structure animated. Like if all the square sections moved around that'd be quite awesome(r), and extremely time consuming if done manually without a program. Maybe I'll be able to make that in 4 friggin years. |

One neat idea someone else did, since you like to try stuff, is simply making a picture, say your avatar divided into about 16 squares. Then when you click on any 1 square it expands (thus causing the ones around it to shrink somehow. Basically you make a distorted animated bulge by clicking on areas that snaps back to normal. |

And is it really that hard to apply ideas like this to music (basically autechre are the only ones that make 'program' type music like that)? I'd try to make things as complex and interesting as possible, probably visuals and sound working together (like mario jumping is connected to the jump sound) only far more intricate and abstract and evolving over time, toppling over itself/ organized chaos). That autechre video dvd is the best I've seen (actually a music maker called lexaunculpt used to have a (flash maybe) site where amazing complex whirling/etc intricate things moved around with sound as part of the intricacy and you could control it by editing values (like some screensavers) online). |
