if you open your mind to the concept of what you really
desire then you will realise that you will never be
satisfied. you realise that your life is being run by your
subconscious desires. your subconscious is built around the
fear of dying (the unknown). for example, when you simulate
a scenario in your imagination, you will always think in
terms of the worst case (basically the opposite of what you
think you want). this fear limits us and prevents us from
actually trying / experiencing the world for what it is. in
reality, our idea of reality is severely warped. the key is
to realising that risk is a construct of fear in the
subconscious. there is no such thing as a negative event,
only an event in which to learn from. what we normally think
of as negative events are completely necessary for our
development as a race of beings. please consider some of
these ideas. the potential to shape your own existence is
within us all. negativity is self destructive. negativity
closes your mind off to possibility. the potential is there.
unlock it

i think the key here is being extremely in the here and now.
only in the moment itself you can completely be satisfied.
if you're but a fraction later the
satisfaction/enlightenment is gone.
being enlightened is about being centered.

exactly! it's about keeping a balance. too much control
would end up in constant contentment ending up in you just
wasting away making absolutely no difference to the world.

value is a construct of greed and desire (a destructive
negative selfish force for everyone and everything). The
irony is that value is completely worthless. All things
should be appreciated objectively and you will learn that
value serves no purpose.

if somebody said to me, what do you value more, your eyes or
your ears? i would say that i value both infinitely (outside
of the idea of worth) as an objective appreciation for all
things.

Enlightenment is man's emergence from his self-incurred
immaturity.

Immaturity is the inability to use one's own understanding
without direction from another. This immaturity is
self-incurred if its cause is not lack of understanding, but
lack of resolve and courage to use it without another's
guidance. Dare to know! That is the motto of Enlightenment

your subconscious is completely based on your childhood
experiences. when you become aware of your subconscious you
can recognise the feeling of self that you remember feeling
when you were younger. you realise that the inner child is
still within you and has been influencing every single
subconscious decision for all your life.

comments like that are only more affirming for me

what i see in you is a lack of humanity

your reality. how your mind works is self destructive to
you. you will never be happy that way. but for me, even
though i don't want you to be that way, the way you are is
completely constructive for me. it simply confirms that what
i feel i see is what is actually going on. i know that you
would think and say that i am in denial. but the fact i know
that and can understand exactly what you're thinking and can
still trust it, because i used to be the same, says even
more to me.

An enlightened person would patronise another as you just
did to Leezo there.

think about why you just said that

you say i am patronising

you could equally say that he is patronising

and that you are being patronising right now

who is right?

in my mind the idea of value is non-existent. i appreciate
everything for what it is. equally i appreciate my life,
your life, the insult that was sent in my direction. you
criticising me is just opening another door for
exploration.

in most normal cases i would have responded to negativity
with negativity, but now i have learnt that it is possible
to always see things from a different perspective and evolve
from each and every experience

another affirmation for me is that when the ideas do spark a
reaction (the negative ones), it completely reassures me,
because it lets me know that the ideas must be scaring them
into reacting that way. the subconscious is terrified by the
possibility of change. leaving the comfort zone. it
considers what i am saying and INSTANTLY thinks of the worst
case scenario if you were to have my views. then you realise
that whenever you think of anything, you always think first
of the worst case scenario. then you realise that in life
you have missed so many opportunities purely based on the
fact that you were too scared of a possible outcome. you can
never know anything for sure so why not give it a go? surely
if it didn't change you in any way then surely that would be
life affirming for you too

But you're failing because you're just imposing an aspect of
yourself onto Lee's, or my, words. This shows in the way you
tell him that his mind is destructive. Yet, this is
your opinion, not an objective truth.

"your reality. how your mind works is self destructive to
you. you will never be happy that way"

Take out the is and use something like appear to
me, based on my interpretation your words, to be
. This
is ePrime,as advocated by the late, great, Robert Anton
Wilson.

sounds like projection to me, you might think like this but
applying it to everyone is not an enlightened thing to do.

i am a human being. i am not perfect. human beings are
capable of making mistakes. because of this simple fact, it
means that it is inevitably going to happen every so often.
i didn't approach the conversation with an intention to make
somebody feel belittled by me. i thank you for your opinion
too. i don't dismiss it. i consider it. my intention was to
see if anyone shared these views. for me though i am not
ashamed of making a mistake. mistakes are good for me. the
word has no negative connotations for me any more because
only new things can be learnt

if you think about stigmas for a second

it is common sense that stigmas are not true. i have found
this out from personal experience. stigmas are in place to
categorize people and stop them from changing. people are
completely unique and you could never become identical to
anyone. that's our individual spark. but i do feel that
change is so necessary in the world right now. i almost feel
like we're evolving backwards. and then if you think about
stigmas again, people think of change, they may think of one
personality trait which they associate with a certain type
of person and then suddenly instantly decide against it
because they fear that they will become that person (or at
least be seen as one of those people). but if you think
about it. if the stigmas are wrong, then the people who you
are judging have been completely falsely represented.

i have never felt so humble. i have never cared so much
about other people and the potential to improve quality of
life

i can't help but feel so deeply saddened by the way i feel
and how i am being perceived. the conflict in views is not
what it's meant to be about. the talking is a means to
understanding one another and working out our similarities
as people sharing this world

what is the constant need for negativity. i just don't
understand anymore

What is up with everyone trying to rid the world of
negativity lately?

Also, you're saying quite a few things that are similar to a
misunderstood interpretation of Jung. You could try reading
a few of his books (Though I'd be wary of taking everything
he says as truth. He has a few good points, though, if you
can overlook the other stuff).

the focus on me as an individual instead of the focus on the
ideas being presented shows to me just how obsessed people
are with the idea of self. it's this concept of me / my /
self which is an integral part to the overwhelming success
and perpetual destruction of capitalism. people accept it
and say, well, yeah ok, it's not great, but it could be
worse. i feel that people are shockingly too comfortable
with the current state of affairs at the moment

it's like people feel they have superiority over me because
they have the ability to suppress their humanity

it's like everyone knows subconsciously that they're going
to die and it makes them go "may as well just have as much
pleasure in my life as possible". but the way people go
about their pleasure means that people (as a price to pay)
have their lives completely ruined as a result of
capitalism. you can have a fucking better life than just
body highs. why don't people realise that?
