Hello. I've just fell into some money, and I am considering the Korg Electribe S. I was wondering if anyone here has used the Korg, especially for IDM style electronica, and what you think of it. Thanks in advance, Leo.

Also, if at all possible, send any links you know of with the Korg Electribe S in action. :) Much appreciation.

That is quite a bit. I found one at a local shop for around £310. It looked quite nice. I just need to be sure about my spending.

*I OWNED THE ES1!* I brought it back today.
I can't garuntee, but I don't think you'll be happy with it.
Especially if that'd be the only peice of gear you have.
It makes a nice drum machine type deal, but, you need a few synths and such if you actually want to make some real music...
Email me if you want some mp3s of what I've done w/the electribe, I'd gladly send :D

i have the er1 and the ea1 they are both nice but you realy do need some other synths to pad things out, the motion sequence feature is nice but dont let the guy in the shop work his showroom magic on you, id realy save up and go for the roland mc505 it so much chunkier the electribes are cool if a little flimsy and the lack of quantize on the ea1 means you got to be a wizard on the old piano mozart stylee
