IPAINT

Does anyone remember IPAINT on the Icon computers? In any
case, I've made a similar sort of animation program that
works by interpolating lines.

Animate!

Here's how it works:
- draw some lines by clicking and dragging
- press plus on the numpad to advance to the next frame
- you'll see a faded version of the previous frame
- one of the lines will be red. this indicates the line that
you should draw, in its new position
- keep doing this, making frames....
- (you can press minus on the numpad to go back a frame)
- then press spacebar to play back the animation

Note that it's got a pretty clunky interface right now. You
can't erase or move lines at all, and you can't restart
without refreshing the page. Also, there's no way to save
your animation yet.

I guess I should try it on my desktop since the only plus
(same key as equal sign) key I have on this laptop doesn't
work.

Oh, that's cool (I tried shift click, but guess I had to
click on the screen area first; works now). It 'tweens' like
flash (this is vector graphics right?) What did you code
in/actionscript?

You can make this in flash easily by the way with multiple
layers.

"Also, there's no way to save your animation yet."

Damn, I wish I had noticed that part, as now I've got a
box-opening animation that I'm overly proud of.

It's coded in actionscript. Pretty simple really... about
200 lines of code.

I really should add a save feature...

This thing is really fun to play with. If you could, please
add a save feature and an "undo last step" feature if
possible. :)

I bought flash 8 right before they released flash cs3 which
has actionscript 3 (I guess a big overhaul from actionscript
2)... figures. I'm thinking about getting the entire
creative suite cs3.
